What if there was a machine, used by psychologists, which would allow said psychologist to "enter" the mind of their patients in a dream-like state as a form of treatment or observation?

It would allow the doctor to see what exactly is going on with their patient's minds and, using his expertise, at least aid with alleviating the issues with the patient.

However, there might be some side effects to this treatment that I am currently unaware of.

So flood, Yay or Nay for this?

What use all those incredible firework dimensions if no eye fixes and reflects, no brain takes notes, no heart moves with passion at the display?

NASA answers the silent cry of the Cosmos for recognition.

NASA is the witness and we fellow witnesses to the endless deeps.

I make a living of selling my body, and I don't mean sex.

I think the doctor wouldn't want to be subject to what could possibly be inside people's heads.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

That would be an extremely advanced machine. May be difficult to interpret what goes on in the entire brain.

So an inception-style machine?

To some extent, possibly.

I've actually been wondering about that. It sounds like a cool idea, partially because I want to know exactly what someone would see while inside of my head....or if they'd still be sane themselves when they came out.

I would understand a doctor would need to go under some serious training to resist going into insanity themselves and be able to gather information off of the minds he or she enters.

Well, it would be a strain to go into anyone's head, but just imagine going into the mind of someone who's completely insane. The world of madness is a lot different from the world we know.

I am a monument to all your sins

Only after extensive research about the short and long-term affects of this device. The Doctor would also have to completely spell out what they could potentially see to the patient, as the patient may have secrets he does not want to share with the doctor. Also it must be completely consensual, but that goes without saying. I personally wouldn't want someone in my mind, a person's mind is the one thing that no one can take from him and is completely and utterly his.

For truly secret things, I'd imagine some sort of defense mechanism would kick in. If I were to think of what exactly someone would see when they entered the mind of another, i'd imagine it would take the shape of a physical world almost. Although, it would be shifting and contorted depending on the individual.

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

The only answer is an eighty-year longitudinal study.
