A bad game, there is no justification for why people like it.

People call it an 'experience', so what? Every game is a damn experience, that's the least descriptive word ever.
...Your logic, needs more logic.

2 hours

nuff said, not long enough.
Again. Your logic, needs more logic.

I'm not going to bother responding if you're just going to say that every time I post, go back to your crappy review site.

You're basing an argument solely on the TIME that it takes you to wonder in the game. You fail to take into account what is really going on, what the overall goal and aesthetics that keep the game intact and in working order. You fail to give ANY real reason for why you do not like this game. You fail to creep past a very poor argument that pretty much sounds like: "Hurr its not long enough. So its crap!" Like I say, your logic is not sound.

I gave a perfectly good reason, not long enough is a good reason, people complain about the length of games all the time and now I'm suddenly not allowed because you don't think the length of the game matters?

Well I do think the length of the game matters, have you got a problem with that?

Lol, you so mad bro... Apparently you have a problem with my opinion about your opinion. For me: A little game like this has the substance to make that 2 hours that you complain about to seem worth it. For something like this, it is about the journey (pun not intended) not how long it takes you to get from A to Z.

  • 12.07.2012 8:25 AM PDT

Looks more like an art tour than something with substantial gameplay. I haven't played it, could anyone that has tell me if it's just a drawn-out tour of scenery or does it have gameplay elements?

So why are you asking for advice if you have already decided you like it?

Pointless, stop getting mad because I don't like a game you're obviously fanboying.

Well, after people told me what it is all about. I looked up some videos and reviews. As well as listened to some music. From what I gathered, it looks spectacular. I am a nut for adventure and unique games that do something different.

Not only is the argument of the game being to short on my list of grievances with you. You also made that preposterous statement saying "there is no justification for why people like it." Pretty much saying "I don't like it, you should not either." Kind of double standards if you want to call me a fanboy.

  • 12.07.2012 8:32 AM PDT

My troll sense is tingling.

I expect a review ASAP.

It was both my most anticipated game of the year and is my personal GOTY thus far. It had a pretty troubled development so it was a wonder it got made. The game might only last a couple of hours but what you experience in that short time goes beyond any game this year that lasts dozens.

I will write one for it tonight after I play and watch the VGA's.

Basically the title, you go on a Journey through the desert trying to reach the top of a mountain.

While the gameplay itself is nothing extraordinary, the presentation, atmosphere, art style, and soundtrack really make it more of an experience than a traditional game. No words are spoken throughout the whole thing, so you can only really communicate with other vagabonds through the noise that you can make. Solving the puzzles and getting farther with the same partner feels pretty rewarding and the build up to the end, especially with the same partner, is very well done.

It's not very long, but it's paced very well. It's not the second coming like some people online exaggerate it to be (you probably won't cry for example), but it's a very good game that's worth experiencing.

Be sure to also watch the Extra Credits videos on it (they did the Spec Ops vids you link any chance you get).

Heck yeah I do! People should experience it... Extra Credits does great videos that go really in depth and is rewarding to watch.

Check them out.

It's kind off meh.

I don't really see the appeal actually.

About the 2 hour length of the game:

They wanted to keep it a fairly short experience so that players could be reasonably expected to play it all the way through in one sitting.

It's like a casual 3D platformer.

For added replayability, there are some simple hidden things throughout the world like symbols that increase the length of your magical scarf (which lets you fly for longer periods of time), glyphs that give a bit more backstory, and a couple of small easter eggs.

How does co-op even work. I played the demo, and it was pretty awesome, but I've never really got how that works.

It's all done in the background as you play. Another player will just randomly appear in your game and stay there unless you get really far apart, at which point their character fades into dust as they disconnect.

You won't know their name, they'll just have a different symbol/different robe(depending on certain things) from you, and the only way you can communicate with them is by pinging back and forth.
