Star Wars IV V and VI were all terrible.

  • 12.07.2012 10:43 AM PDT

I enjoyed the prequels but they can't really be compared they are different. All in all I prefer the original ones I think but I like all of them.

Also, no -blam!- the prequels have better effects... 1977 vs 90's/2000's

The special effects were considered godly at the time of the original ones.

They are. But that's because the originals were terrible.

One person who played his role = bad acting? And the effects for the time that movie came out were on par with others.

The story was great, maybe you couldn't comprehend it.

Somewhat yeah, they're proffessional critics and know more about the movie buisness than you or me, their opinions do have more credibility.

Played his role? His role was to screw up his lines? And just because they were on par witht he time doesn't make them not bad. They're still bad. "Back in my day!" is a relative argument. And sure, relatively speaking, they may have been good. But as such, the top of the line airplane from the 1940's isn't as good as the top of the line today. Regardless of how relatively good they were.

I could comprehend it perfectly fine. It wasn't that good. Very boring, slow movies.

And yeahhhh... just because you're a "professional" at something doesn't make you any good at it.

The problem with younger kids who experienced the prequels growing up is understanding the originals during their time.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I actually like the prequels...

Not Halo 4.

That's not a prequel.

when it comes down to it the Prequels had better fights, cooler looking tech and more realistic CGI.

I absolutely agree.

Multi-trillionaire modern cowboy.

That's right.

I love the Phantom Menace, and I'll say that the best swordfight I know is Kenobi vs. Darth Maul, but let's be honest - the Falcon and her crew, as well as Vader's breath are the face and the prime awesome of the trilogy.

I loved the canon that was introduced in the Prequels, but I hated the way it was presented. The acting was pretty terrible (even by corny Star Wars standards), the characters felt very one-dimensional, and don't get me started on Jar Jar... However, the tech and CGI was better, the scoring was excellent, and the canon opened up a lot of new options which I loved (the Clone Wars, a more human Boba Fett, etc.)

The Darth Maul battle was awful

I disagree. After Qui-Gon falls, it's an impressive representation of swordfighting. Although the superfluous moves are... superfluous, it does look cool and still makes somewhat sense.

Did you even watch my video? It proves that the sword-fighting was extremely bad. None of their swings were even close to hitting their target and were horribly choreographed. The original series had less flashy battles but the emotion and purposefully placed swings were there for reasons of cinematography.
