You created terrorism with the war on terror. Your country motivated the terrorists to attack, not the other way around. But hey, just keep swallowing that brainwashing.

How so?
Pre-9/11, there were next to no terrorist attacks to the US or Americans, because there was little reason to. 9/11 was a response to increased US military bases and presence in the Arabian Peninsula. And of course, all post-Afghanistan terrorism was in direct response to Americans invading their lands and killing their people.

The American people elected the people that committed these acts, and gave them support. Don't act as if all Americans are against these wars. Even IF all Americans were against the wars, why do they let the government keep fighting them? So naïve to think the citizens of a DEMOCRATIC nation aren't responsible for their government's actions.

I don't think you fully understand how democracy in the US works.
You seem to have all decided to believe a cultural myth that you can take credit for everything good your government does, but be completely absolved of any responsibility for actions your government takes that are internationally condemned (even if you all supported them in the first place).

Funny considering this happened well before 9/11.

Not to mention NATO backed up the entire war, so simply blaming America is laughable.
You mean the US-dominating military alliance? Like I said, a select few countries supported the US.

Al Qaeda has been active since the 80's.
Yes, when the US trained and armed them to fight Soviets.

Posted by: Everlasting Fate
We didn't even get into middle eastern conflict until the 90's which didn't even have anything to do with Al Qaeda.
Yet you kept expanding your military bases into the Arabian Peninsula and Al-Qaeda attacked in retaliation

The UN got sick of Saddam killing his people and we liberate them.
Except the UN condemned the Iraq invasion and you've killed hundreds of thousands of civilians.

"When you say mean things, your weenie will shrink."

-Marshall Mathers, 2004

I think weve all gone soft.

Do you remember a CD called the Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem?
I think it got the award for best album, but almost every single song on that thing was disgusting. He rapped about killing people, doing drugs, stealing some more drugs, killing some more people, r*ping people, swearing at his critics, killing his own and your own family, killing himself and his who*es, and the famous one, one sweet little song about his daughter.

Dont get me wrong, awesome record. I just think the only reason we ever pay attention to these things is if the rapper stands out in any way, we start listening to all his old songs and you find some huge contreversial line, and its a 50/50 chance that anyone could care.

Not at all the US does terrible things at times and so do a lot of other countries. Now I agree a lot of Americans like to ignore the atrocities of their country, but that is far from new. History is written by the winners and the winners typically omit the bad stuff. As for the democracy thing it isn't as simple as you make it out to be. If you are in the military and are given an order you can't disobey it simply because it doesn't follow your morals. Then if a lot of people don't like what is happening it doesn't mean it will stop look at the Vietnam war which was heavily opposed, but still went on. Democracy is a nice term to throw around for those people that like to act as if everything is black and white when it isn't.

It was intended to bring down the building, but didn't. The intent was what is important. Though really it was to demonstrate how wrong your views on the terrorist matter really is. Since you think the war on terrorism started terrorism which isn't completely wrong hence the example. I am sure there are more examples out there, but I don't feel like finding more when the point has already been proven.

Considering a lot of people on here are from America is it expected. Honestly I would question those people that do not support their country when it is badmouthed.
