I'm gonna use Facebook as an example, cause a lot of you seem to hate it for no reason.

"It leads to cyber bullying"

No it doesn't, at least it doesn't if you have the least bit of common sense. Someone harassing you on Facebook? Block them. Easy as that. If they harass you in real life, that's not Facebook's problem at all, (and you should notify the principal or police about harassment in real life).

"It's nothing compared to talking in real life".

Yeah...but it's not supposed to replace talking in real life. It's supposed to be a tool to keep in touch with others far away, or to chat with others when talking isn't an option. Can you not handle talking to someone in person when you see them, and chatting them when you don't?

"Everyone on Facebook is retarded, saying things like #YOLO, etc"

Sorry, that's a problem with your friends. Get better ones. Unfriend annoying people, and friend people you actually want to talk to. Problem solved!

"They are evil, they r spreading mai personal informashun!!11"

No. They are not out to get you. If you aren't some criminal, why would they care about one of the hundreds of millions of people that use Facebook?

"I don't want people to see my personal information."

Then...don't put any? All you need is your name (Not even full name, you could use a nickname or abbreviate your last name.) People seeing your name and a picture of you (which is optional but recommended) is not gonna kill you.

They either have no friends or their friends are stupid.

We do?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I'm your biggest fan!

Cyber bullying is not that easy to deal with.

They most likely have no friends or don't understand it. Personally I just don't care for things like that.

Australian.

People that think it is bad are usually anti-social. (Don't have many friends, and spend most of their time in their homes.

Facebook is really crappy because it's gotten to the point that you're judged if you're not on facebook. I mean really, people judge you for not putting your face on a website that sells all your information, how messed up is that?

It's great. I use Twitter and LinkedIn quite a bit to keep in touch with clients and coworkers. Face-to-face interaction is obviously best, but that just isn't possible, or practical, 100% of the time.

Beta Tau

It feeds into humanity's greatest vice the constant need to consume and to want more material goods that are not even needed.

I think you are missing the point. If you are going to apply for a job it is extremely easy for your future boss to find out information on you and thus deny you the job.

I find that Teh-Ziod is NOT attractive for the reasons
she/he does not correct format sentences, therefore for intelligent matured members of society that may interact with her/him, may find her/him UNattractive for the reason that she/he does not comprehend with their level to successfully have a conversation therefore it will be socially an awkward interaction which may be wanted to be avoided

second i do not find it physically possible for a PERSON to be a ice cream truck.

I prefer not having all my information sold to corporations and given willingly up to the government, hence me not liking Facebook.

No one judges me for not having facebook. Your logic is dead.

You don't have to post any of your personal information there. You don't even have to use your own face. Then you can just use the site to interact with people, if you are so afraid that someone will buy your information.

Because it's a useful tool for interacting with other people. You don't have to post statuses every hour and like every page you find as part of some sort of contract. They can only sell what they know about you in the first place.

Not really I go by pretty common rules in regards to what stingy adults would view as acceptable.

Of course they do. In real life, people look at you like you're crazy if they hear you don't have facebook. Hell, most of the Flood here thinks you're an anti-social loser foreveralone if you don't tweet your latest meal to everyone.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

That's why you need to be conscious of what you post. Why should I hire someone whose image could negatively impact my business? If I can find everything about you through Google, so can the people I'm doing business with.
