A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

So why is it I see a lot of negativity for clans?

I mean is there something wrong with a group of friends sticking together in a group or a team and playing games together?

Hardly have I seen clans be groups of friends. More so groups of anons that think they're good because they have x's and words relating to death in their name.

Clans are like MLP. It okay that you like to get together and play a game or watch a show but when you start coming up with stupid names for it it becomes annoying.

Why not just call it "a group of friends"?

Why does it have to be called a "clan"?

I love raping clans with my friends.

I've got a fan!

The ones with rank structures and meetings are creepy. And I was part of one for like 2 years.

Why not just call it "a group of friends"?

Why does it have to be called a "clan"?

clan, cult, group, guild

What's the difference? I usually play PC multiplayer games with a particular group of friends and every time there is an option to create a clan or a guild, we make one. Sometimes they expand due to others interested in joining and sometimes they stay as a group for friends, only with a name to represent that group.

I think it's a great way to always have people that are reliable and fun to play with. PUGging is usually hell, although sometimes a solid group can form out of a PUG or certain random individuals met over time.

I certainly wouldn't dare playing an MMO without finding myself a guild pretty early on. Then again it's all about preference I suppose.

EDIT:

Side note, Xbox Live Halo clans with rank structures and meetings like mentioned earlier, are

1. absolutely ridiculous

and

2. usually led by 12 year olds

I am the God Emprah of Mankind.

Deal with it.

10 year olds and such tend to enjoy making and being a part of them.

As you know the internet hates anyone that's young.

Got it?

Not that all clans are made of little kids.
