Subject: The Shawshank Redemption is the best movie ever made.

Every single part of it is literally perfect. It never drags on, yet it doesn't rush itself. No detail is trivial; everything Andy does builds up to his escape. The attention to detail is remarkable. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman kill in the acting department. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack.

Seriously, try to name one flaw. I dare you.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

No flaws. The movie is excellent from start to finish.

Best movie ever? Nah; it's not even in my top 5. Still a great, great film, though.

Yes, except that the sewer escape part is impossible, considering all prisons of that era had pipes only 2 feet in diameter, and they had no oxygen running through them. But other than this mess up, the movie is great, as is the book.

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle- victorious"

It's a great movie. But I wouldn't go as far as saying it's the greatest movie ever made.

''Hell is other people.''

Actually, the "Best movie ever made" is commonly considered to be "Gone with the wind".

Not all prisons did. There were plenty of older ones with larger pipes.

But still. The Oxygen. smaller indoor sewer pipes as the such, including prison pipes, do not have a large enough amount of oxygen for a person to breath.

The hole in the wall in Andy's cell is covered by a poster when the warden comes in. It's fastened at all four corners which would be impossible to do from the other side of the hole.

I'm talking more about cinematic flaws.

fantastic villain

The fact that it needs a villain to create conflict is a testament that it has flaws.
