To play or not to play....

Do the flood know the location of Earth?

After assymilating so many humans surely the flood know the location of Earth by now. The flood even infected captian Keys and he would have known the location off the top of his head.

Now that the flood have a Vessel capable Slipstream travel will the flood come to Earth?

Let's see. Cortana is in the control of the Gravemind. Cortana knows the location of Earth. The Gravemind controls the Flood.

Another thing. Why would the Gravemind use In Amber Clad to jump inside High Charity of all places? Is there something he wants in there?

And wasn't MC leaving Cortana behind a COMPLETE breach of Cole Protocol?

Cortana didn't detonate In Amber Clad's reactor, even when the Halo was activated. Why?

Also Amber Clad would have navigational data pointing to Earth. The flood got hold of that ship easily. It is possible that Miranda or Johnson whiped the NAV data before the ship was lost to the flood but the flood have so many other ways to find Earth it is almost difficult to see how the flood wouldn't know the location of Earth.

The Gravemind seemed to want High Charity simply because it was bigger. Originally he might have wanted the forerunner ship as it was still docked when he crashed Amber Clad on to High Charity.

However the forerunner ship took off seemingly before the Gravemind could over run it.

or....

Did the flood get on board the forerunners ship before it launched?

I think the Gravemind is extremely intelligent and he is definately up to something. However what exactly is an interesting point to debate.

That's a pretty interesting theory. The Flood are a major part of the series as well: Bungie aren't just going to abandon them at the last minute. And Bungie has basically stated that the majority of the H3 campaign is going to take place on Earth. Put 2 and 2 together and it proves a fairly solid base to your theory. Nice work.

And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

One snag, In Amber clad, is crashed, broken, but... I saw another platform in High Charity which led to a docked phantom, they could possibly use that to Hijack a Battling Covenant ship which outside High Charity is littered with and get to Earth.

Um, it's the other way around, apparently. Storyboard of Cortana
And wasn't MC leaving Cortana behind a COMPLETE breach of Cole Protocol?
Um, the Covenant already know where Earth is.
Otherwise, I agree with you.

Cortana might be in control of Gravemind, but she might not be.

In Amber Clad probably has the co-ordinates on it, if that part of the ship is still accessable. So, he might.

From all appearances, and from the man himself, the GM controls Cortana.

Thanks. I should have checked it myself. Well, _somebody_ at Bungie said it.

It's possible(but not likely) that Flood got inside the Forerunner Ship. Two Flood controlled Pelicans flew over MC. One crashed on the landing platform, while the other...flies out towards the Forerunner Ship. Cortana might've exaggerated the Flood invasion when she said that Flood controlled ships are touching down all over the city. Does she mean the Prophets' Sanctum tower, or the city in the distance? The latter doesn't seem likely. Surely the Flood wouldn't have captured that many aircraft. The vast majority would've have came from In Amber Clad. Unless the Flood hijacked more ships.

In Amber Clad-Since only the commander of the ship has access to its core systems(self destruct, erasing data), I don't think In Amber Clad's databanks were cleared, as Miranda was tied up(literally) at the moment.

Gravemind-He probably knows the coordinates to Earth. If he has controlled Cortana, not to mention he has Regret too, and possibly others. Why would Gravemind choose High Charity? Well..it's the closest thing to infest. Now he has a whole moon-sized battle station at his disposal. If there''s still power within High Charity, then it could be used to make a slipspace jump.

Ok here i go
First the only thing that controls cortana is Cortana or maybe Dr.Halsey but that pushing it.

And it is posiable that the flood know where earth is maybe hitching a ride on a convent ship but if the got on the forerunner ship with MC they would be dead cause mc don't let stuff live.

"After assymilating so many humans surely the flood know the location of Earth by now."

Not necessarily... how many humans knew exactly how to get back to earth from delta halo? The Pilots maybe but who knows, they could have been killed, and probably have been because the flod might have used em as combat forms.

In short, the maximum knowledge the flood could gain from human infection is the knowledge of the existance of earth. If they wanted to know how to get their their best best is Cortana.

how did gravemind get from under the water to inside the ship??????????????????????

Teleportation is one very easy way. He was able to leave the water and get on board High Charity without any problem/s.

I don't think (and never said) that the Gravemind left High Charity (he was no longer under the water anymore). He did not get on board the Forerunner ship as he was talking with Cortana on High Charity after the Forerunner ship was launched and arrived at Earth.

Though I doubt the Gravemind would have even wanted to get on board that ship (the forerunner one). If anything he might have sent some flood on the forerunners ship. The Gravemind may have seen this as a way to get flood on board the arc. Since the flood have a collective consciousness then even if one flood was on Halo the gravemind could/would know what it was doing.

I think the Gravemind would have no need to leave High Charity. High Charity is capable of Slipstream travel (or whatever the Covenant call that form of travel). The base is enormous and has a large army of flood forms scattered about it.

As I said the Gravemind is definately up to something though I don't know exactly what that "something" is. One thing is for sure the Gravemind knows what he is doing.

That is exactly what I was thinking. The flood took over High Charity because they wanted a larger vessel. The flood already had Amber Clad and could have used its slipspace drives to get to Earth but High Charity was much bigger.

Gravemind went to High Charity because In Amber Clad was too small to infest worlds. If the ship appeared at Earth, it could be shot down when it was found out that it was not under human control. Now, if High Charity appeared, it could send out hundeds of drophips and have many more combat forms to fight with.
