Subject: What if Bungie waits until after they release Destiny, to reveal it?

Think about it: Destiny is out on the shelves for months. We don't know it is there, but it is, just stalking the isles of your local Walmarts, Best Buys, and GameStops. But, the catch here is that we don't know about.

I mean, we have been dark for so long and are so desperate for this game that it could all work out in some weird way. What would your reaction be?

That they just wasted a $140 Million dollar budget including advertising, on putting out a game that could potentially be outdated by other releases. Not to mention, the second an employee of, let's say WalMart gets their hands on it, it'll be all over.

Terrible marketing ploy.

Terrible use of budget.

Not going to happen.

Check out this Thread on how to help new members here on Bungie.net

Then props to Bungie for sneaking it right in under our noses..

I Gladly couldn't see them doing this though. haha

Maybe thats our Destiny to find something that isn't lost...... to much?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

This sounds like an article from the Onion

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Valid point. Deceptive in their nature, Bungie must have already established a new game studio with their own forums and their own community (don't forget the blackjack and hookers). They must have already released information about Destiny under a different name through their shadow company. They must have sent Urk to manage the new community and hired our puppet overlord DeeJ to keep us misinformed.

We must get to the bottom of this.

This F word of which you speak doesn't exist within my vocabulary, I can think of a few others, however, that do.

I've been saying this for months.

The best way to announce it is to reveal what it is at the end of the Legendary difficulty after the credits.

But... what about the preorders?

New idea. POSTORDERS. That's right, you get the same non-exclusive item that everyone else gets for beating the tutorial level, but two months after everyone else! I call it a "negative exclusive".

Edit: I really should be an exec somewhere in marketing.

They take your pre-order info now and then in the future it gets sent back to before the game was secretly released. Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

I got my Recon for the '08 VDay tournament for second most kills; 2671.

I didn't "earn" it via VidMasters.

What if it's already out?

Hey I am a big Bungie fan ever since I played Halo 2. I love the series, I love Bungie. I have made a few Bungie logos in my metal shop.

I wouldn't like it, but I would respect it.

Totally plausible. Bungie's next viral move.

This is ridiculous. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go try to beat Destiny again.

That would explain why Bungie wasn't at the VGA's.
