Si hoc legere scis, nimis eruditionis habes

Indeed I have. I recommend reading it before the movie comes out. It's pretty short, but very good.

Yep. It was miles better than the main series, which is about as entertaining as thermodynamics.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Yes, and one day I will read it to my children like my father read it to me.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

Yes. I read it in 4th grade and can't remember anything other than dildo baggins and a dragon.

-Terry Tate, Office Linebacker

I owned the book many years ago and read a few pages. Otherwise, no.

Yes. I first read it over 20 years ago.

Aspiring filmmaker

I read the book in the 5th grade. Can't wait for Dec. 14th. My father and I are going to see it.

  • 12.07.2012 9:01 PM PDT

I know everything, I've just forgotten most of it.

Also, my XBL Gamertag is 'Wenggh', not 'A Stolen Fruit'.

I've only got a 1980's version of it :c

BTW Elites rule!

And I am probably just trolling you right now....especially if it is a controversial thread

Yes, I read the Hobbit a long time ago. In the store yesterday, I saw a whole bunch of movie cover Hobbit books and thought wow only a sucker would buy that.

My hardbacks of The Hobbit and the LotR trilogy are from the 50's. Still in great condition.

Mine's a Paperback and it's not in the best of conditions.

Same with my old LotR book :c

My new one's in much better condition though!

I picked it up as a 6th grader, too, during sustained silent reading or whatever it was called, and it was completely beyond me.

Still haven't given it another go around, although I should.
