Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

Sadly, though my drama class in high school helped me become a little better about it, I suffer from stage freight when placed in front of an audience. I did run my work past numerous friends and teachers at my old school as I wrote different ones, though. I received many positive reviews. I had a small bit of my work put into the school literary magazine, though not too much of it...since most of what I had written at the time was deemed "inappropriate".
I don't have a problem with stage fright, my poem consisted of making fun of the poems I have heard so far in a subtle fashion. Most of my poetry had to do with insanity, fantasy places, sadness and regret, and occasionally a poem or two themed around love. More recent ones were about hope, revenge, union, and one or two that tell stories. And other things too, probably. I don't remember everything i've written.
I think mine went,
"I have no idea what to right
Usually it's some sappy love poem
Or something "deep" about leaves falling from trees
Maybe about a walk in the park
Or hell, even what I had for lunch
Probably about how cold it is outside
Or about Roses, and Violets.... Refrigerators
But really, that would be too much effort"
*Walks back to seat in a lazy fashion*Geez, could've at least tried to make it rhyme. I don't mind free verse, but lazy free verse is just dreadful. I guess i'll just go ahead and type the little eight-line poem I mentioned in an earlier post. Fair warning, it may sound cheesy.
"A flower has its beauty,
But can never smell as sweet
As the scent that does arise
When two souls bound to me
Come together with burning passion,
And unite through love as one
Beneath the frozen moonlight
To greet the morning sun."
It was actually in a different format, but eh.
Oh and I have no idea what to rate poetry. So...
