I miss Halo. Maybe Halo 4 will change that.

Edit: Lol nope

Yeah so my laptop is failing to boot and gives me this message

"Non system disk error or disk error replace and strike any key when ready"

I did some google magic and was told that my HDD is corrupt or dead or whatever. However it still comes up in the BIOS. I'm running some Self Check thing and it seems to have not encountered any issues so far with my HDD.

Also if it helps, my OS is on the HDD. Has something gone wrong with those folders? And what can I do to fix this issue? Or will I have to install a new OS?

Well it sounds like you need a new HDD. If your OS was the issue then you wouldn't be getting that message.

Disregard Females, acquire currency.

How much memory do you have available on your HDD?

I'm no expert, but this sounds like the best option available to you... either that or wipe the HDD and reinstall your OS.

Ok then, is there any way to retrieve anything of the HDD or is it done?

One reason why you should make routine backups.

There are means of collecting data off of corrupt disks, you could try Recuva but i'm not sure if you will be able to get all your files back. There are other higher quality ones that you can pay for, programs that is, to recover files off of a corrupt disk.

Just put it into an external casing and try to recover files.
