Subject: What is the best Pokemon game to get?

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

So I am considering buying a Pokemon game. The only snag is that I have no idea about which game to get. I currently have two Mystery Dungeon titles, but those are another thing altogether.

So, which Pokemon game is the best to get? Chances are high that I'm only going to buy one. The only requirement is that it has to be on a mobile platform (not on a console or PC).

I plan I getting Pokemon Soul Silver soon, maybe you should get heart Gold so we can trade exclusives. xD

The Universe demands to be noticed, to be seen, and dutifully noted.

What use all those incredible firework dimensions if no eye fixes and reflects, no brain takes notes, no heart moves with passion at the display?

NASA answers the silent cry of the Cosmos for recognition.

NASA is the witness and we fellow witnesses to the endless deeps.

The second versions of Black and White 2 are ok because you can get tons of legendaries - they all basically have the same reskinned plot anyway.

If you clicked on here to ignore my coup, why? Do I look ugly to you? Do I look fat in this dress or what? Jerk.

Try Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

To be honest, if you never really played it as a kid and grew up with it, there's not much of a point trying to get into it now or buying the older games. You should probably get White/Black or Diamond/Pearl.

I eat my milk...

...without any milk.

I haven't played B/W 2, so I can't comment on those, but SS/HG are the best by far.

SS/HG has Pokemon up to Gen IV and lets you go back to Kanto. All around the most fun to play with.

But why? I know next to nothing about any of the pokemon games.

Either HeartGold/SoulSilver, or Black2/White2.

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

It's essentially a HD Remake on DS of the 2nd generation of Pokemon games.

I'd reccommend it.

You can catch almost every legendary Pokemon up to Gen IV (Including Mewtwo) and you can travel two regions.

It's currently sounding like HG/SS is the better option.

If so, which version? What is the difference, aside from which has whatever legendary on the cover?

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

-Me

Pearl or Platinum.

Emerald if you want a classic.

Black or White 2

Do you have a GBA or the other varieties? If so get fire red or leaf green. Might as well start with that and you get a partial taste of the other 2 regions.

  • 12.08.2012 6:45 AM PDT

I'm The Batman.

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum

Usually depends what you grow up with.

Heart Gold has Ho-oh, Soul Silver has Lugia. However I'm pretty sure you can catch both in each game, just the other one later.

(get soulsilver)

I would say HG/SS. Most bang for your buck too considering it has 2 regions. I personally had Heart Gold so I guess I would be bias and recommend it over Soul Silver.

I have a GBA, DS, and an emulator on my PSP. I just don't know which to get.

White 2 is awesome.

That does not tell me anything.

How was it awesome? How awesome is it compared to previous titles? Does it have any over complicated stuff? etc.

  • 12.08.2012 6:56 AM PDT

Emerald or Black 2.

IMO start with Fire red. You start on the first generation and after you play through past the end you can see the 2nd and 3rd gen pokemon. More 2nd gen than 3rd, but it just gives you an idea of what the next gen games pokemon will look like.

Fire red then SS/HG then Emerald and if you like the series enough go with platinum afterwards.

Anything Gen III (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green) and above. Emerald was my favourite of them all. Though my DS broke not soon after Diamond/Pearl came out so I haven't had a chance to play Black/White & Black/White 2.
