The most important part of a story is the ending; its not alien to let a bad ending ruin a great story for you. That's besides the fact that the writing in ME3 was just terrible beyond belief. The only part that seems like it wasn't written by a retarded dyslexic monkey was Mordins death scene.
It didn't even feel like a Mass effect game it felt like EA just made it themselves and had the rest of the money go into CGI trailers.
I will agree that EA hasn't been good for the series, there has been a lot of missed chances... In ME3 at least, the whole thing was corprationalized a lot, if you know what I mean. The amount of cut content and pre-order -blam!- was unbelievable.
It still doesn't change the emotional journey I had in ME3, though. I almost blasted through the entire game in a few sittings, wrapping up all these stories that were building up over the years. The ending, I dunno. I liked it, honestly. The basic concept of it was simple; who do you agree with in the context of the Reapers? Anderson, TIM, or hell even all that synthesis -blam!- Saren blabbed on about. The fact that nothing was explained pissed me off though, and the godchild at the end of the game.
But EC? Fixed the ending. Leviathan? The godchild clearly isn't a godchild and has context. And well, I just loved seeing Omega again.
So yeah, you could say I love ME3 and I know I'm not alone, I just hate to see so many people judge the whole thing for a few little mishaps and trips by EA. It's still Bioware dammit :(
