Subject: Do you like scream/growl in your music?

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

No. It sounds like garbage and shows they lack actual vocal talent.

You're a complete retard if you think that it doesn't take talent to growl or scream.

OT: yes most definetly yes. I like all kinds of it in different kinds of music.

Any idiot could do it. It's just cheap and talentless music that's poorly written.
That statement is idiotic and just wrong.

Gather around the campfire, once it goes out, it's out for good.

I cannot stand clean vocals anymore.

"*mostly understandable lyrics* YAAH!!"? Yeah that's fine.

"OOAAHHAAUUUUEEEEEEEAUUUUGH SAAAATAAAAAAAN!!!!" Nope.

Don't punch a British kid, the queen'll come after you.

This has harsh vocals and I enjoy it

Every once in a while, yes.

Whole song? Not so much.

This. I listen to Breaking Benjamin a lot and Burnley is pretty good at growling, but if it were going the whole song it'd drive me up a wall.

Here to end the borrowed time you've all been living on.

Yes because I have an ounce of sophistication in my music taste

I wouldn't use Ben as my example, but that's just me.

Mreh.

God no, if I wanted to hear growling then I'd hit my dogs.

  • 12.08.2012 1:56 PM PDT

I listen to a wide variety of metal, but the scream/ growl is always a hit and miss thing with me, just like with all music.

*scoots in closer*

I hate you

Must be why metal is the least liked genre.
People have terrible taste.

Justin Bieber, for example.

You're also implying that metal is the only genre with screaming/growling/unclean vocals in it.

He threw down a glove you made the mistake
Of picking it up now you're gone
The choosing of guns or fighting with swords
The choice of weapons is done
He'll tear you apart as soon as you start
You know you don't have a chance.

Growl? No.

Screams? Bruce Bruce's screams are godly, so yea.

It really depends on who the singer is, but most of the time I don't really like screaming or growling in my music.

  • 12.08.2012 2:07 PM PDT

Yeah you know me, I used to sleep with a straitjacket on.

Pretty much. 90% of the music on my iPod is all screaming. Number one most played song on my iPod is "I Shot the Maid" by Greeley Estates... Look it up! =D

I usually enjoy more screaming and less clean singing.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

I like ADTR, not really a huge fan of metal tho.

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

No. I saw Lamb of God open for Metallica and I wanted to shoot myself from how -blam!- the vocals sounded. Thing is, their instrumentals were great.

Isn't the least likes genre on the Internet pop or anything to do with Justin Bieber?

That's right. I just dropped some AOL IM protocol.

Are we just going to act like Jake Bannon from Converge doesn't have the greatest scream of all?
