I've been looking for a new tablet recently and this thing caught my attention. I'd probably wait and get the new or "Pro" version though. It looks like it can double as a laptop pretty decently as well.

Why do you guys think of it?

I actually recently went through your choice. I researched which tablet would be the best, but the conclusion I came to is that no tablet is really worth it. A tablet is pretty much a big phone that can't make calls.
If you're looking for portability it would probably be best just to go with a small or light laptop

lol, good luck operating a laptop standing, or scrunched up on a couch.

Tablets have their uses.

The Surface is iffy.

OP, look into the Asus Vivo Tab. See, the problem with the Surface is that it's keyboard doesn't have a hinge; you can't use it as a laptop on your lap. The Vivo doesn't have that problem. Same price as well.

Yeah ultrabooks/mac pro > tablets.
