Halo 2 was the best Halo game
A7x FoREVer!

Expected, but the best overall player has turned into a QB award. The last decade has been dominated by QBs, opposed to other positions.

inb4 NFL backup.

But glad he won. Te'o wasn't going to win because he wasn't an offensive player and Klein is a goddamn weirdo.

Would give pretty much anything to be Johnny Football's wingman for the next week. Gonna get real wild.

No thanks. I'm going to give the gal an Aggie hat, though.

is this person your meeting a LSU fan?

Yes, I am.

I'm sorry to hear that

It wasn't the best season, but we were a couple of plays away from being in the national title game.

That we would have lost.

That's what I'm sayin. Not a dry puss on the entire aggie campus right now. It's Johnny Football's world and we're all just living in it.

Let's not act like that would have been any fun for the Bulldogs.

I'm not much of an Aggie fan, but They guy looked like he deserved it.

I did however, quite enjoy the Aggies beating the Tide xD

As a Notre Dame fan, I obviously wanted Te'o to win, but due to SEC and quarterback bias, I knew Johnny Football was going to win.
And that picture of Johnny Manziel kind of makes me respect him more.

I don't think you would have lost. I don't think ND could beat the top few teams in the SEC.

That said, if we're going to play the games of ifs and buts, A&M is only a competent kicker away from beating LSU (in spite of a mess of turnovers), which would've put us against Georgia in the SEC championship game instead of Bama. ;)

LSU is a damn good team, though; nothing but respect for all the teams in the SEC (except Kentucky, lol).

That's all I have to say about that.

THANK GOD. I think Te'o is a great person, but he did not deserve it. Also, ESPN, what is with all this "True Defensive Player" crap??? Charles Woodson was a CB who returned punt returns and ocassionally lined up at WR. He's still a defensive player.

Oh yes, and Bama please beat Notre Dame. Their fan base is insufferable.

Too bad Heisman winners never win Super Bowls or do good.

I really wanted Manti T'eo to win it. He deserved it more than Manziel did, in my opinion. Manziel has 3 more years to win it. Manziel is a leader but nothing compared to the leader T'eo was. Sure, Manziel was incredible but if you look at Notre Dame and take away Manti, they aren't playing in the National Championship this year.

T'eo will be a top 5 pick (if not #1).

This was far and away the flat out dumbest argument against Manziel winning it. He'll be good for the rest of his college career but the hype surrounding him will not be nearly as much as it was this year. That alone would hurt his chances.

Manti Te'o isn't even the best defensive player in the league.

Not really worth it in the top 5 though.

I think RG3 may have arrived in Washington at the perfect time right in the midst of positively improving era for the team. If the Redskins are destined to be good, it will be within the next few years.

I live less than 20 miles away from ND. A lot of people in the area REALLY wanted Te'o to win. Watching their tears flooding my news feed on Facebook makes me smile.

my opinion is a little biased, to be honest. I LOVE Manti, I wouldn't mind the Broncos pulling an old Saints move and trading every one of their drafts picks to trade up to get him. I feel like he has that much of an impact.

The thing about Manziel is that he will be amazing all throughout college but I don't see it translating to the NFL very well. Manziel deserves the trophy by ALL MEANS. And honestly, if it was all up to me, I think we might have had the first ever year with co-Heisman winners. This will always be one of the craziest and memorable college football season of all time to me.

People overlook the fact that he's can pass well because he's a phenomenal running QB. Dude's only a freshman and is already a dual threat QB. His passing game will only get more refined as his college career progresses. Anyone that's paid attention to him at all this season knows that he's more than just a "running QB."

  • 12.08.2012 7:16 PM PDT

How can you be sure Manziel has 3 more seasons in college? What if in the off season he suffers some injury and can never play football again? Then in his 1 season where he broke many records he didn't get the Heisman because "He's only a freshman he'll have more chances" when he never will again. Then what? He was statistically a better QB than anyone else in the country and personally I think the only reason Te'o was there was because he lost he Grandmother and girl friend and then had a good game against an overrated Michigan State team that threw him into the spotlight. He played well but not as good as Johnny Manziel.

I went to look for the others because I was curious since I only knew the Packers players off the top of my head. Weirdly, every time the Packers won the Super Bowl they had a Heisman Trophy winner on their team.
Others include Tony Dorsett, Roger Staubach, Paul Hornung, Jim Plunkett, Marcus Allen, Desmond Howard, and Mike Garrett.
And Reggie Bush if you don't count the vacancy.
