Flood...Covenant...Ark...Halo...Cortana...Prophets...heck, even the Master Chief could be considered the Messiah (Messiah Chief?), at least an Arch Angel (who heres voices ala Joan of Arc). Ark of the Covenant? So the game is just one giant trip from Earth back to Earth again just in time for the end of the world? I refuse to accept that ("I don't believe in no-win situations" Captain Kirk) Imagine if they made movies of all three video games "including" a movie where "the world ends", how would people, moviegoers, react to that? How many movies have you ever seen where the good guys lose and the Earth is destroyed (a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe notwithstanding)? Perhaps Bungie should have rethought releasing a trailer where they say this is how the world ends. Maybe, hopefully, that is just a turn of phrase, a matter of speech, and Cortana (Gravemind?) shouldn't be taken literally. I, for one, hope so. Halo is, in my opinion, the best first-person-shooter that has ever been created, just like Star Wars is the best science-fiction movie that has ever been created. How would you like your favourite band to put out three great albums only to hear that after their third album the band was going to break up and turn their three albums into movies because those were concept albums? I wouldn't. Halo forever, long live the Master Chief.

about the part about the "good" guys always winning and the earth always somehow being saved, it is refreshing to see something different. perhaps mc dies in a last stand along with humanity, showing that we all must reach an end at some point. alot of people need the super-unreal-wtf-how-did-he-slip-out-of-that ending, but it gets old for me. but if mc died he would have to die in a battle that was epic in magnitiude.

god guys always win. lol.

Who's the good guy here again? The elites who have killed millions of humans, and then help us exspecting to be forgivin?

Or maybe you mean us.. the humans. as we look evil to the covvies, coz we blew up a sacred ring and thus killing a massive armadarda of covies. So MC doing a mass murder of aliens. oh real good and nobel that is.

Or good guys being 343 guilty spark, the guy who is trying to save the universe from the evil of the flood from destroy the universe.

..Actually yeah. 343 sounds the most "goodest" guy so far. So if good guys win, then halo's will be activated, and at the cost of everyones lives, the flood will be stopped from destroying ALL life. (halo's only stop like 99%, the life with calcium and enough biomass)

Oh and we know that the 4th party, being the flood, aint good. they just wanna randomly destoy all life in the universe. they may have their reasons.... but still...you know what i mean.

Whats wrong with that? The good guys always win when you're watching movies, it is like you know the ending before it even ends and their one last minute impossible escapes they make is just getting too phoney and too old. Take James Bond for an example, seen some movies dont care for the rest, I know whats going to happen and it doesnt entertain me anymore, 1 man takes on 100 men who are suppose to be soldiers but cant even fire a weapon properly but ofcourse James Bond is a super agent with crazy gadgets might as well be Batman. The Matrix, I really thought they should have ended it with the first one, second one was also great with the action and all but then the third one just made me hate it, I barely got through the third Matrix movie, very dissapointing but we saw it coming. (Sorry way off topic) I would rather want to see something different, I want to see more reality than hey how are the good guys going to win this one? MC is a hero, he is nothing more than a war machine and even if the war does end with the good guys winning. where does MC end up? Back to freezing his ass up in the chamber and wait till the next war till he awakes? No, I would rather want to see him go down like a true hero, even though you cant fight it but you still try, and you can try to fight it till but you will still die. More like reality in my sense.
