I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.
The debate has gone on too long, constantly filling up the topic value of this forum. That is why this evening I have devised a much simpler comparison to help you all more easily decide and state which side you are on.
Bungie's Halo Games
In the original Halo games Master Chief was a very quiet character who talked when he needed to. This was done in order to keep him as undeveloped as possible, allowing the player to more easily feel like they were Master Chief, and not just controlling him. This is not some fallacy that I pulled out of thin air, you are welcome to Google it if you don't believe me. Other than speaking when he needed to and of course the Cortana relationship it was very easy to put yourself into the Chief's shoes. Even with all of that in mind, after 3 games did you not actually feel for Cortana? A character very easy to fit into to in a game without much fluff to it.
343i's Halo Game
In Halo 4 Master Chief is a quite talkative character who is never afraid to hold his tongue. This is done to allow for more character development, crafting an extra story. You never feel like you are the Chief when you play Halo 4, you are just some guy controlling him while you go through his story. If you actually manage to feel like him you are greeted with a few stories combining into a very confusing blob of knowledge. He is cold, impersonal, and closed off. A character very difficult to fit into in a game filled to the brim with fluff.
The Argument Simplified
Instead of Halo vs. Halo 4, one can simply look at it as PC vs. Mac. Do you want the highly customizable system that you can craft to fit your needs, or do you want the standard system that comes as is. Of course the standard Mac will likely look a lot nicer and sleeker than you PC, but chances are it features a more simplified system with far less interfacing options. It also probably has a lack of more in depth features over your PC, but at least the MAC has all sorts of aesthetic options to prove your uniqueness with in lieu of actual features.
Everyone likes Macs and they are clearly the better system, despite costing you far more in the end when you have to buy all of those accessories that are essential to your machine. If you like the PC over the Mac you are stupid and don't understand the beauty of the Mac. You wouldn't get it, it's a Mac thing you stupid PC elitist.
tldr; Halo vs. Halo 4 = PC vs. Mac
