Oh no, I agree with you that DICE makes great DLC.

Its just I won't support it anymore because of EA, I refuse to feed those wretches.

Does my custom matter to them? Of course not, but my honor matters to me!

And where the hell did you get the idea I go to Reddit? You pleb.

Oh wow go back to Reddit, you sure are very opinionated aren't you? Great facts to back up your opinions.

OP is just mad that you aren't praising his opinions so he has to make up things about you.

No I'm slightly irratated that his "arguments" consist of just insults. Oh well, at least he's bumping my thread.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Except Close Quarters and Armbored Kill were crap map packs. Aftermath and Back To Karkand were awesome though.

And I agree with you OP.

You will -blam!- bricks when you see what game it is! =)

Bah! Look up Quake. People make their own DLC.

It's still better. At least the DLC made for that game are now beinging released as indie games in a newer engine. UT > Quake

long live id Software, long live Doom and Quake!

I was here before MrCheesy. And id Software was before UT.

The latest one is by far the best, but the others are good too:
New weapons (usually ten)
New vehicles
New challenges
Different themes (ie is time its a scramble to survive after the earthquake, a feat they've pulled off really well and it feels like you are just fighting to survive
New game modes
New skins for characters

This DLC is how it should be. We have a versatile new crossbow, new vehicles and maps that I think are astonishingly good. Have fun paying 800MSP for three maps that should have been in at launch, and 1 new game mode.

BF3 is not how DLC should be done. And Besides they have lied so much to customers.
Aftermath was supposed to have new weapons but they chnaged it to one weapon and didnt tell about it. Other changes to future DLC's have been made too withouth telling about it.

And before BF3 DICE said that they would never charge for DLC.
Sometime after that they said that fans would be mad if they didnt charge for DLC.

With that logic, new releases are a bunch of crap
I can buy 3+ OLD GAMES with that money. The cost is hardly unjustified.

Premium
EA

Yup!

On-topic, Borderlands 2 and Dark Souls shows how DLC should be done.

Are you serious? The first Borderlands 2 DLC was okay, but had a ridiculous raid timer for the bosses and the second one is so boring that I still haven't bothered finishing it. Not to mention neither of them raises the level cap and the loot is terrible. At least Mr. Torgue is a funny character. Don't get me wrong, I have immensely enjoyed Borderlands 2 with 196h put into it, but the design decisions in the DLC have been very questionable. The season pass is really no different from Premium, not that it's a problem.

EA may be jews, but the Battlefield 3 expansions have been of high quality so far. Mass Effect 3 has even had 4 free DLC packs released for the multiplayer, with non-recycled environments, new weapons and classes. This has actually encouraged me to buy the two pieces of singleplayer content as well. "Leviathan" and "Omega", which I have no complaints of, other than Omega not bringing another permanent hub world to the game and the pricing being a bit off.

Indeed.
BF3 is horribly unbalanced.

Too bad EA forces the use of Origin on the PC.
Just shows how EA is desperate for people to use their services.

That's if you buy the bundle which would technically make each map pack $10. This pricing has been standard for years. And the only reason, that I believe, that they bundle it is to ensure that the community stays in the game for an extra couple months.

There is really no excuse for Origin, it's so irrelevant that it's not even funny. I have it turned off at all times except when I play a game that requires it, which I only have a couple of anyway.
