Or is it a women thing? I'm generalizing here obviously. I'm currently writing a story and It just so happens than my two protagonists seem to have a lot of chemistry together. So what the hey?

But the book for the most part seems male aimed. I'm not sure If men would be into a romantic development. Flood, do men like romance? Do you like romance?

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

If it fits well with the story and it doesn't distract from the main plot, I'm fine with it.

"Life is constantly fleeting from your grasp even from the very day it's bestowed upon you, but the shadow of death is always there, waiting for its chance to take you away."

"Even though many may not think so, ignorance and innocence are one and the same. The only difference is that one sounds nicer."

"I once knew a man who spent his entire life contemplating where we go after our death....it's a shame he realized it a second too late to tell anyone."

A little romance never hurts, and if two characters just happen to fit well together, why not?

by writing male romance you will be catering to one type of man

My troll sense is tingling.

I like romance and there are a lot of stories prominently featuring romance that have a large male-fanbase. Although if you make it the focus, that does tend to alienate some manly men.

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

I don't think anyone minds a romance sub-plot.

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

Just write what you want to write, and not necessarily what you think others want to read.

But, for the record . . . I guess avid male readers would give it a shot, but I doubt that the average guy reads much.

Romance is an understanding based on a person. The sex is irrelevant, I've seen failures on both ends. I myself am honest and loyal, I dated a whore once. Obviously it didn't work out and that's the way I left it, because she slept with 2 different dudes within the two weeks that I knew her.

On the first date she talked about how she was having sex this one time, and she accidentally bought fruit scented condoms because her last ex couldn't afford it.

And now there's this other gal who I'll be asking out who's never built a snowman in her life. She's obviously new around here and is up early as I am. So I know she's at least 18. Everything is new to her around here. Yeah, men love romance too.

Yea I'm not making romance the focus. It is absolutely a sub plot.

I can already tell you're not picking up what I'm saying. You're reading what I tell you, but you're not listening. I just told you a bit about myself, yet you can't recognize a target audience?

Did you know that 93% of all statistics on the internet are made up on the spot, and that 68% of readers believe them?

You bet I do. I can't speak for all but I know I enjoy it. It's in my nature.
