I have one PCI-e slot and dual PCI slots in my computer, I was wondering what the best to get is, and whether dual PCI would be as good/better than one PCI-e.

Also, my brother is getting a new PC with a eVGA nVidea 7300LE, I was wondering how good that kind of card is, if it's bad, I won't let him know, that way I have the superior machine.

I found a 7600 GT OC for about $200 after a mail-in rebate, then someone pointed out to me a 7600GT KO for the same price.

And what cards do require dual PCI-e? or are all cards just single slot? I am a total beginner to computers

Go with PCI-e. PCI sucks. Dunno about the other stuff.

Maw

I don't know about the duel slot cards never used one. If you mean two video cards, good luck. I don't think you can use two at once. Im not sure, but I think Express is more powerful than the normal Peripheral Chip Interface. If you have a AGP, which is Advanced Graphics Port, then that would be better in the long run. AGP is more powerful usually, but also more power hungry and expensive.

I just looked at the eVGA nVidea 7300LE , and its not the best, but its good.

yeah my dad thinks its better to get a brand name pc, so I'm stuck with gateway until I move out. I don't think I have a certain price limit for the cards, so if my parents do have enough money I will get the 7950, and save up for a sound card or something.

One PCI-E card is better than two PCI cards.

PCI sucks.

An X1300 is coming to PCI...so it's not all that bad.
