Subject: Map Editor

We don't even know what genre the game is yet.

It is widely speculated to be some sort of cooperative roleplay / adventure / MMO game - how would a map editor work if this was the case?

I think that's for Bungie's use, not player's use.

That's for designing the game, not a map editor for players to use.

Bungie won't do that because a map editor defeats the whole purpose of map packs/DLC.

How hard would it be for Bungie to make a map editor that you could use on PC to create maps to be downloaded in game across multiple platforms from PC to PS3 to Xbox?

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Dodgy stuff would ensue. Also, I know for a fact that MS does not allow unregistered third party content on its console. So, for this to work, you'd have to upload the stuff you made on pc to Bungie.net, whereupon Bungie would put it into the game. Doesn't sound likely.

Not likely but still an interesting concept. That would be the coolest thing since sliced bread.
