Subject: Where are the huragok on the Infinity?

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

In the Thursday War, its stated that huragok(Engineers) are on the Infinity, and are responsible for a lot of the advancements they have. Where are they in Halo 4?

I may be answering my own question here, but maybe in the 3rd book in the trilogy, something happens to the huragok, killing them?

I'm guessing they leave at some point between TTW and H4, to the same place as the Sangheilis' Huragok.

I don't know if you have seen the Infinity. It is pretty damn big. Just because we haven't seen them doesn't mean they're not on board.

Sure, but you'd think at least one would be helping Halsey examine the Forerunner artefact if that were the case. They are experts in that field, after all.

Although with the size of Infinity, the Huragok on board are probably constantly on task with maintenance, the amount of people on board using communication equipment, running the engines, servicing thousands of vehicles and millions of weapons.

While that is a valid point, do not forget Spartan Ops is a bit rushed and has had numerous audio and video problems. As there are only five episodes. there is still a chance they may show up. Just because something is in a book does not mean it needs to be apparent during in-game assets.

I wouldn't be so sure. So far 343 has used the books as canon much more than I anticipated. I think we'll eventually see them. It's just a matter of time. The game's only a month old after all.

What are you on about, the CGI episodes aren't done with in-game assets. They don't need to code AI or anything like that, they're just models. If Huragok were on Infinity and mattered to the plot we'd see them in the CGI, helping Halsey. The fact that they risk bringing Halsey to a Forerunner planet full of unknown dangers and hostiles attests to their desperation - they don't have the Huragok to work magic with the Forerunner technology, so they turn to Halsey instead.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Hopefully the next Kilo-5 book will explain their absence.

I wouldn't hold your breath. The Huragok could just completely vanish like Blue Team.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I don't know whaere they could've gone off to, but there is still the chance we see them alter on in Spartan Ops, we've only seen five episodes out of much more.

I think after the incident with Jul and that engineer, I don't think the humans are trusting the huragok that much anymore. They probably keep them away the action and just have them improving UNSC vessels, weapons, etc. Especially, since the appearance of a Forerunner, something they have been waiting for awhile.
