I have the Xbox version of Minecraft but I was thinking of buying the PC version, but is it worth it?

yes

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

Oh hell yes, man! Check out dat modding scene and those custom skins.

Watch the first 20 seconds of this. And the first 10 seconds of this. (Graphical mod demonstration)

Personally, I only play on SMP servers due to singleplayer being lonely to a degree.

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

Only if you want ugly PC graphics like this, and player skins that are free and fully customizable, and updates as soon they're launched.

I'm just an upbeat and jazzy kinda guy

If you want a short-lived 8-10 hours of whimsy, followed by a realization that you had just wasted $25, then sure.

GrownPrism is NOT my gt. Happened when signing into my xbox live account. My real gt is here:

The MineZ servers are worth it.

Halo 3 is where the morons of the universe congregates.

I am thinking of an old story. "Three Billy Goats Gruff" (hint the troll dies at the end)

If you had an electron microscope, you still couldn't find the -blam!- I don't give.

The PC version is 100% better, further along, and the mods make it way more, some more make it a completely different game

Why would you need to upgrade your RAM? Really it is only worth it if you have friends that play the PC version and/or want to get into mods.

Mods. So many mods.

Why would you need to upgrade your RAM?
^This. I run a full suite of graphical mods and I still don't ever use more than a single gigabyte of RAM.

You would think I wouldn't need to.

I seriously doubt you do unless you have a really old computer in which case you would need to upgrade more than your RAM.

Unless his PC is like 3+ years old he shouldn't have an issue running it.

Yes.

  • 12.09.2012 2:29 PM PDT

Never played either but I imagine that you have more control over the PC version

The Spartan 1 Project

Yes. The PC version is far superior to the xbox version.

I'm on Vista and my computer is 5+ years old and it runs it pretty well. Shouldn't be a problem for OP.

I never said older PCs couldn't run it, but 3+ years is where you can start to have problems in terms of what can and can't run it. Still the amount of RAM he has isn't going to affect his ability to play it all that much unless he has a old PC in which case he has more important things to be concerned about.

  • 12.09.2012 2:34 PM PDT

I know haha. I was just trying to help show the OP that computer age shouldn't deter him.
