Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

Yes, it was inspired by the other thread but this is a valid question. Assuming that no one who plays stops playing and that teamkilling isn't counted, what would happen? I think it would eventualy boil down to a 1v1 match, right?

  • 12.09.2012 3:29 PM PDT

Then the OP of the inspiring thread would be banned.

  • 12.09.2012 3:30 PM PDT

XxXD3LuuX3 X luuC1d17YXxX

... That would not work.

Eventually there would only be one person left in the game.

Sadly im sure 343 would actually do that.

I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".

There's actually no reason it'd necessarily be half.

What if stupid people like the OP get banned?

Inappropriate. Went a little to far with the butt hole tearing.

Wouldn't that discourage people from playing?

Like, if you decided to play for the first time, and you died twice and had one kill, would it disconnect you?

I mean he's making the assumption that the median player has a k/d of 1. There's not actually any mathematical reason for that to be true.

What if you had to pee? What if you got a phone call from your doctor saying your grandmother gave you syphilis?

Jack of all trades, master of none.

For everyone with a positive K/D, there is someone with a negative K/D.

343 would lose a LOT of money

  • 12.09.2012 3:38 PM PDT

would make multiplayer a lot more competitive...and boring.

Well for one player to go positive, another player has to go negative, so just making a very quick and probably very inaccurate guess.

For every person that dies there was someone who killed them

(ruling out suicides and betrayals which are a pretty small number of overall deaths)

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

For those who understand the math, a 1:1 K/D (or anything close) is a sign that the player AND the MM system are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing.

Not entirely inaccurate. You have a point, but there are always variables like betrayals and suicides. So the average k/d is lower than 1, which would more than simply half the population would be banned.

Exaclty!!

If you have a 3.0 you are either camping an obscene amount, getting boosted or playing inept people.

You could theoretically have one kid with no kills and a billion deaths though, giving everyone else positive k/d's. That's not going to happen but its hyperbole to illustrate Bahamut's point.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

I'd never get banned.

There would be a lot more camping, and a lot of people wouldn't be playing the game.

haha why are people bringing up 343 the OP had nothing about Halo at all.
