I bought an Ipad pen, it didn't work but thankfully I can return it.

Try one of these. (different DIY styluses (stili?) on each page. Easiest one is a pencil with aluminum foil on it)

The idea is to make an electrical connection between your hand and the screen. (assuming its a capacitive screen which most are)

The bamboo tablet pen isn't just a piece of plastic, it actually has some tech to it.

Really wish I could use any random thing though, this discarded lollypop stick would actually be useful.

Oh, you people think I'm talking about a tablet as in an Ipad, no I would rather just use my fingers as intended, assuming I could afford one of those damned things.

I'm talking about one of these.

I like how your sub box is full of science and political videos but your recommendations are full of anime girls kissing each other.

Just Zoid being Zoid ^_^

Wish I knew

I've been looking into buying one for a while now

Not going to explain why I said it like that, but thank you for confirming my theory.

Okay. I know how they work now.

You're not going to be able to find a random object around the house that works here. The pressure applied is picked up by the pen itself, not by the tablet surface as I had assumed. It uses wireless power which is broadcast from the tablet (Hey! That's what my senior design project was in college! wireless power!) Finding another pen which has a similar inductive coupler suitable to receive the power from the tablet is highly unlikely. As such, the only solution is to purchase a new one.

Here ya go. : )

I think I may have a dildarus or two that do that.
