I heard halo 4 was coming out and I was overwhelmed with excitement then i heard bungie sold the franchise to 343.. I was scared! I went out and bought the halo 4 console and game the first day and started playing, i came to realiize that something wasn't right.... I tried to force myself to play it but i couldn't do it! The game is awful!

I'm looking at this teaser for the new game in development and i got a little boner... I think bungie will rise once more my friends! HOOOORAAAAHHHH!

Always Bungie, it's not even a choice. I used to regard 343i with about the same amount of respect as I did Bungie when it comes to story, but now, not after the -blam!- they've pulled. Were it not for the names, one would hardly recognize most of their new stuff as Halo >_> With the exception of Forward Unto Dawn and Primordium, everything after Glasslands came out has been one constant messing up of canon after another...almost none of it matches what Bungie left us with or left for us. Amongst some of my the most egregious errors 343i has made is ignoring what Halo 3 was left on, with peace being established between Humanity and the Covenant Separatists (Elites, Grunts, and Hunters) with an alliance between the two factions looming further down the road, or the Didact, hell, on that one they're even contradicting themselves. The depiction they have of the Didact in Cryptum and the flashbacks of him in Primordium do not match what they presented in Halo 4. Their constant villainizing and bashing of Halsey is another of their fatal errors, though it doesn't come quite as close to what Karen Traviss has butchered.

All in all, the story as approached by 343i is highly lacking in any real depth in addition to being almost completely one dimensional, and it doesn't match with the lore. Not even their art design does, what with their changing the entire physiology of the Covenant species we see essentially just because they can, or changing ship designs such as the Forward Unto Dawn. Bungie has always been far more consistent both in art design and with story, as well as telling one that is very deep and engaging. If Bungie ever managed to buy Halo back or Microfsoft hired them to write all of their Halo games....words would not be able to describe how over-joyed I'd be.

Who would even ask such a question? The answer is obviously bungie.

I take screenshots, check them out!

Keep it simple stupid.

I gave 343 a chance. They have done nothing but disappoint. My support will go to Bungie from now on

Something witty.

As hard as it is to admit it, I'm siding with 343 on this one.
Bungie had created Halo in the first place, so that obviously gives them some points. But it seemed like as the games went on, the creativity and those engaging vibes that were present in the first game started to die down. Reach, while fun, just seemed a bit dull, plain, underwhelming. As if there was no soul put into it. (Which I am not claiming, that is absurd and I am sure the folks over at Bungie did their best with the game.)

For me, Halo 4 was a long needed return to form. A brand new, devoted company with fresh ideas took over, and it shows. The vast Halo universe presented by the books and barely touched by previous games were finally touched upon and made relevant. Rampancy, while mentioned in previous games, really felt like a serious threat here. Bungie loved the idea of Rampancy, and I don't get how they didn't include it in any games.

Obviously, this is all my opinion, but I really do get the same vibes while playing Halo 4 that I got while playing Halo: Combat Evolved. I truly felt like I was exploring an alien world, and everything was so fresh and new. If Bungie kept going on, I'm sure it wouldn't be like this, sadly enough.

So, with all of that said, I'm glad 343 took over, and at the moment I prefer their work.
