"The hero is the one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by.
The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light."

Platypus is best animal.

I like to pretend a duck, a beaver and a venomous shrew all got drunk, had a threesome and the Platypus was the result.

Alright, it's story time. I'll tell all you (possibly foreign) people the Aboriginal's origin story for the Platypus.
Once upon a time a duck swam away from her friends and ended up in a dangerous area filled with swamp rats that had spears with poisonous tips on them.
Ducky was scared of the nasty rats, so she hid in a nearby burrow. Little did she know, there was a rat in there waiting for her...

I'm not going to describe the next part, but I'll say that when a mummy can't get away and a daddy loves her very much, a baby is born! Somehow, regardless of the laws of D.N.A and genetics, the poisonous spear merged with the zygote and produced a Platypus.

...yes, that is their actual story.

I've seen platypuses in Australia.

They're awesome.

...sorry about that, I found it hard to type as a Platypus.
That's fine. That's how it usually is. With experience, the Platypus can evolve to a higher level of consciousness, of true being. When you have reached this level of cosmic awareness, you have become what we call, the Platyperson.

Is it a good or bad sign that the tail hasn't disappeared?
It's neither good nor bad, every journey is different. But deep within humans is the genetic memory of having a tail and using it to swim. For most people the tail never disappears.

And holy crap, now we're learning.

Platypuses are poisonous.

Venomous actually. Also only the males are.
...which is a distinction I often forget about.

I know everything, I've just forgotten most of it.

Also, my XBL Gamertag is 'Wenggh', not 'A Stolen Fruit'.

I imagined a Beaver, even though I know what a Platypus looks like.

Not quite as streamlined and elegant as the Platypus, but I can see how that would work. Bobbing, just bobbing along like a big cork.

A Beaver kinda looks like a backwards Platypus, in my opinion.

I may... I may have just made some kind of connection here.
