Most of the opinions I've heard from fellow Star Wars geeks have been negative. I on the other hand am excited. We'll get far better writers and directors after a sad excuse for on in Lucas (who I adore for at least creating the universe in the first place). And I'm not one of those people who prefer to see things end and live on as they were originally. I like new content (I was happy when I heard of 343's formation and the announcement of Halo 4) and to see things I love evolve. Not to mention the face that Disney has a positive history, albeit a short one, of taking on old loses and effectively expanding on them (Marvel and the Avengers, Pixar, etc.). I'm also excited to see the rebirth of Star Wars in the video games industry, because as we all know, that branch of LucasArts has been floundering.

I'm sure it will be fine. Then again, I'm not one of those mega nerds who reads all the novels, etc.

I'm optimistic, it takes a lot for me to hate Star Wars things.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

Disney does take very good care of it's franchises. I hope that Lucas and the other's do a great job with it, because I've been itching for more Star Wars.

But, what is there to expand on? Is there really enough story left for 3 big pictures?

There are about a few hundred expanded universe novels that need to be brought to life.

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

I'm only concerned because there where only supposed to be six movies. Bringing in new stuff could seriously screw with the cannon.

Remember those times when we all had something better to be doing, but didn't do it? Those were good times. Gooood times
