1) Removal of Heros in most modes of gameplay, as they aren't balanced and warp the game around acquiring the hero unit and then abusing the hell out of it.
2) Less gimicky / broken maps.
"Hey, Jabba's Palace has Gamorean Guards, let's give the CIS / Empire an ever spawning supply of Gamorean Guards that can kill in a single melee attack and naturally retake the entire map singlehandedly if the player isn't around to kill them."
"Hey, Felucia was in the movies for a good five seconds, let's make a level based around it! Give it a bunch of bubble trees, no real sense of direction, and a freaking tall tower control point which makes little sense."
3) More regions of the Star Wars Universe that aren't simply copies of things in the movies. Rhen Var in the original Battlefront was a great example of this, lots of ruins and such that was legitimately interesting to fight in. Perhaps they could even come up with a few new planets? And perhaps craft a plot around those planets?
4) If they're going to bring back space battles, the ships need to be way more interesting than five rooms arranged in a plus shape.
