Mace Windu was my favorite Jedi. I don't see why he couldn't survive, Luke got his arm cut off and feel a long distance too.

...COMPLETELY different situations. For one thing, Luke hadn't been sizzled to a fine crisp by Force lightning before falling through the vents on Cloud City.

Mace went flying down hundreds of stories...on Coruscant...where hovercraft are zipping around everywhere.

Oh well Windu is a win.

Force ghosts are win.

Disney is win.

Lucas is fail.

I feel good about this franchise now.

But Luke was the chosen one, they couldn't just kill him off.

Also Samuel was the token black guy, they had to kill him off, they always die.

"Right now it is raining methane on Titan. The planet Uranus is, hilariously, orbiting the sun sideways while Venus spins backwards. We sit here on a planet marked with collisions, rocked by earthquakes, shaken by storms. A planet doomed to be fried in radiation as its magnetic fields collapse, until the sun grows and leaves nothing of the earth but dust. Here we sit, glasses on our noses, inhalers in our pockets, braces on our teeth, and we say "Behold the perfect ORDER of it all!""

Thing is, Mace Windu would have actually been a good character, if George didn't give Samuel are peaceful jedi role? If he was more of a badass jedi, he'd be fine.

What the hell George, talking about mis-casting.

He WAS given a 'badass Jedi' role. He killed Jango Fett, remember?

Also, read 'Shatterpoint' by Matthew Stover. It's all about Mace Windu.

But Mace Windu's dead...

We can't have a character that looks just like Mace Windu

But dat movielogic, Anakin fell down a lot of stories when he tried to catch Jenga's worker's hovercraft, and didn't hit anything.

That would be cool.

He was epic in Episode III.

Well done, one killing in an entire trilogy. Ashame most of the time he's more laid back, and simply talking. Not much at all, hell Yoda got more kills than him, so talking about killings isn't much.

Episode III was the only decent one out of the prequels.

Why do people hate the prequels so much?

Bad writing, to annoying characters, to cringe worthy love bs, to simply boring politics.

Just to outline it.

They're Jedi Masters, not mercenaries.

You don't say. But that's the problem, I know i'm taking a page out of redlettermedia's book, but he's right. If the Jedi Masters are peaceful people, why cast Samuel Jackson as one of them?

If you know the slightest thing about Samuel, you know his specialty is the exact opposite of what a Jedi Master should be.

The writing has always been bad for Star Wars. They actually improved it in the prequels. And the characters seemed decent.

Anakin was awfully written in all three episodes. Jar Jar binks, Padme, 9/10ths of the Jedi council, none of them have characters.

And the writing bad in the prequels? No. Just, no.
