Subject: So Flood, got my ASVAB score back

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

If you don't know what the ASVAB is, it's kinda like the SAT/ACT but given by the military and shows what your strengths and weaknesses are, as well as telling recruiters what jobs you are able to do.

My score, out of 99, is a 57 which is barely passing and am able to go either Navy or Air Force if wanted so. My fields that I'm good in as followed (High to lowest):

1. Paragraph Comprehension: 62; 93 percentile.
2. Electronics Information: 62; 90
3. General Science: 60; 87
4. Verbal Skills: 60; 87
5. Word Knowledge: 57; 79
6. Science and Technical Skills: 55; 72
7. Arithmetic Reasoning: 50; 51
8. Auto and Shop Information: 49; 51
9. Math Skills: 47; 37
10. Mathematics Knowledge: 45; 29
11. Mechanical Comprehension: 41: 19

My math is pretty atrocious but only because I have been given a math-learning disability and have always had much trouble with the subject.

To add to the discussion value and not make this seem like a pointless blog, anybody else receive their ASVAB skills or would like to share them like me?

As much as I'd love to believe you, does that even exist?

In any case, good luck. Just keep going at it, it's just one test.

It was a few years back when my parents sent me to some counselor and diagnosed me with social anxiety, ADD, and math disability. I'm not sure if it actually exists but I'm amazing at histiry and english but when it comes to math, yeah no.

Ah, just mention ADD, it's enough to understand your hardships with math.

First of all, good luck. Second of all, I'd highly encourage you to move on. It's one test. That's it.

I'm actually joyful that I did better than I thought. Just signed up for curiosity and went in without studying or prepping for it, but thanks anyways.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

I took the pre-test for the ASVAB when I was considering joining the Marines, I scored a 95.

Recruiter basically told me I could pick any job I wanted within the Corps, except for whatever their intelligence department is.

It's ok thats a important job. If it wasn't for people like op we would have to use robots or something, that would be expensive! Also every hyper kid and their sister is diagnosed with some kind of add/adhd. Most of the time its complete bull, hell I was diagnosed with add.

I don't remember the exact breakdown, since I took it 6 years ago. But I do remember that the overall score was 99 percentile. But I'm too smart to even think about turning into a pawn for the armed forces.

If a man is not willing to die for something then he is unfit to live.

That's one step down. Know that certain disabilities can get you removed from service. Good Luck. Later on you can re-take the test.

I got a 60 on mine. No complaints. My recruiter told me I met the test requirements for Marine Recon, now I just need to pass the physical and mental requirements.
