There just aren't enough moments in the day to rectify the wrongs of the past.

As i was having breakfast, i noticed that it suddenly smelt really bad in my house, and as i went looking for the source of the smell, i noticed some crap on one of my carpets. Then i noticed that my dog had eaten part of the crap and smelt the same as the pile.

I cannot get him to stop eating crap, in all seriousness, what the hell do i do to get him to stop? :/

All dogs do it. My dog eats his own vomit too.

Circle Jerkin' I got my wiener workin'

So you're not worried about him crapping in your house? You're just worried about him eating it?

  • 12.10.2012 1:16 PM PDT

Crap on his crap.

Recon Number 54 -
If they are still looking, then while holding the snarl, I let drool start to drip from my mouth, I stand, curl my fingers into claws and with a hunched over crouch, I then make slow and deliberate steps towards them. When I get close enough, I let them hear my agonized and gasping growls and then, if they continue to stare, when I get within arm's reach? I kiss them on the nose, and run away giggling.

As disgusting as it is to us, it is quite natural for dogs to eat pewp.

Just tell them off and try to make sure they don't get to eat it, that is the only way :L

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

All/most dogs do it.
It's a weird thing.

Just blame aliens.

All small dogs crap inside apparently so thats not something i can stop unless i put them outside every hour on the hour, but eating it should be something that can be stopped.

Probably a troll and you will get away with it since u have a fancy title.

other than that my dog has ate cat -blam!- from the litter box her whole life and she is 12 so i think it may be the answer to immortality

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

As weird as this sounds, you can go to Petsmart and buy a solution to put into the dog's food that will apparently make his poop "taste worse" (I didn't know that was possible).

Otherwise, you need to be sure to housebreak the dog, which will help, and discipline him whenever you catch him in the act.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNĒ¢UM

Spray him with a water bottle when he does it, because they don't the spray, he'll stop soon enough.

We tried this with my dog. Didn't work very well.

This is completely and utterly untrue. All dogs can be housebroken. Unless your dog is sick, it should only be pooping once or twice a day.

I have never seen my dog eating her own poop. I once caught her eating "kitty Krunchies" though.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

Slap it or spray it with water everytime it does it.

Im taking this from my sister that grooms dogs for her current job, and she often says that and hears it from her customers too. They poop inside at least once on a weekly basis, and even if we let them out before everyone goes to sleep, someone(usually me) finds another pile in the morning. Ill try what you recommended in your other post though.

First off, it isn't really "normal" for dogs to eat their poop, just as it isn't normal for you to eat yours.

When dogs do this, they are generally trying to get nutrients they aren't getting in their normal diet or are trying to clean their area. So most of the time, you are to blame for feeding them garbage dog food or not keeping their area clean.

You did say generally, and we give them healthy wet and dry food so i cant see that or the cleaning being a problem here.
