First time here? I love you.

Been here before? I still love you.

I bought the Season Pass two days ago and this doesn't upset me.

Microsoft made a mistake and people can take advantage of it. No big deal. This kind of thing happens from time to time.

If I'm paying extra, I expect the best. Not some glitchy system that screws people over.
You're going to go far in life with that attitude
You carry on giving your money to companies who cut corners.

A mistake was made. We don't live in a perfect world, so deal with it. Stop being a baby already thinking your entitled to this and that due to a small glitch in a incredibly complicated system.
It would be okay if this was the first time it has happened. Like I said, if I pay for something, I don't expect it to glitch. If I pay for something like Halo 4 LE, I don't expect marketplace to glitch so people get the DLC for free.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I just picked it up for free, even though I had literally zero intention to buy it. Thanks Flood!

You're still getting what you paid for.

Some people, among thousands, are getting it for a bit cheaper.

You are being ridiculously childish about this.

It's not being childish, it's finding it ridiculous how incompetent MS can be.

  • 12.10.2012 3:19 PM PDT

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

I personally don't think it's right for a game to come out with paid DLC a month after the game was released. So that being said, i'm currently downloading this DLC for free and I am glad to do so.

I hope they make this same mistake with all the other DLC they release.

Really hoping for it on whichever map pack that has "Skyline" in it, the map looks cool and is named after me. :D

You didn't even buy the game, correct?

Possibly the largest unwarranted sense of entitlement I've ever seen

No it is being childish.

When you're an adult and have to pay for more important things like rent, gas, car payments, student loans, etc you tend not to get so bent out of shape over 10 dollars you didn't even technically lose.

I didn't, that has nothing to do with it. It shouldn't happen simple as. The people who purchased the LE should have a right to feel robbed.

Not my fault you don't see how it is basically saying "-blam!- you" to the people who purchased LE.

Sorry, Hylebos, but this is where it stops being relevant.
No need to be sorry :)

The Crimson loaf absolutely has a price tag on it: $0.00. And several thousand happy shoppers have taken said loaves to the register, had them rung up as free, said "thank you!" and have left the building.

So how does the grocer deal with this? Ban those shoppers from his store for buying at the price he advertised? Accuse them of theft? Chase them down and forcibly retrieve the loaves (assuming that this is possible)? Or just say "Oops, my bad, enjoy your free loaves folks! You're welcome!"
That's perhaps true for the intial people who discovered the problem. What about the people who heard that they could get bread for free and came specifically to take advantage of it before the system could be fixed?

That's what bothers me. Obviously what I think has little bearing on other people, I just think it's interesting to discuss.

For those of you who dont have the free version then rebooting the game seems to work in order to get it for free. Dont forget it's from the in-game marketplace.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

FWIW the only time I EVER remember a content specific refund was for the Black Map Pack for Rainbow Six Vegas 1. It was erroneously released as PDLC when it was meant to be free.

In that case, those who purchased it before the price was fixed were reimbursed.

In this case, that ain't happenin' since it wasn't an anti-consumer error.

I can say with all honesty here that I have been allowed to buy books for £0.01 instead of £6.99 due to a glitch in the price scanning system at a shop I regularly used to go to a few years ago.

Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

I love how the Xbox Support team is so cavalier about this.

"Sorry to hear you feel that way!"

LMAO. They are such dicks.

No, I see exactly what happened. The deal between LE/Season pass owners and Microsoft lets the aforementioned party download the map packs for free. This deal has been carried out to its full extent.

The fact that people who didn't pay were also able to download it was not intentional. It's not like Microsoft deliberately made it free for everyone. These things happen, it would be nice if Microsoft refunded me the 400 points I saved by buying a season pass, but as they're not obligated to I don't expect them to.

You need to untwist your panties, kid. This literally does not effect you in anyway whatsoever. I'm actually laughing at your response to this because it's so unnecessary. Keep it up.

Awesome! I had no desire to buy big team maps before, but I'll take them for free! Downloading now...

I managed to get it for free, pretty sweet.

Real account.

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

What a freebie!

they do more than just have a glitchy system.

lol It's another scheme from MS. Once you play on them, you'll want to pay money for them to take it back.
