Subject: Why do people still pay for tv?

Unsuccessfully trying to bring science and reason to The Flood...

Cheeper to do so online. Not every thing has to be stolen.

If everyone stopped paying for the content then the industry would decline pretty rapidly I'm sure.

Yes they get some funding elsewhere, but it costs money to make the shows and so I believe that if I enjoy watching something I should support its continuation by paying for it.

That might just be me though...

Sorry, I was just responding to the title of your thread, which was clearly "why people still pay for tv"

Using any online site like netflix and such where you pay is still fine.

I get direct tv and the only reason I have it is to watch the walking dead, justified, sons of anarchy, Breaking bad, and mad men since hulu doesn't carry them.

Netflix does.

Keep It Clean!

Well, in Finland, they established a new law that implements the TV license payment straight into the taxes we pay, even if we don't own a TV at all.

Good times.

Do idiots seriously think the internet is a valid substitute for readily accessible content on hundreds of channels?

My mom does and honestly, I don't mind. The house phone, internet and cable are all in one.

Can you get new episodes of your favorite shows the day they are aired?
