I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.
So with all of these recent events I'd like to take a look at exactly what those of use who purchased the LE have actually gotten.
So there is of course Gabriel Thorne's journal, but compared to the content of Halsey's journal this is really pretty pathetic. It is more of a game manual than a journal, telling you about various weapons and of the Infinity. Palmer's messages all sound like they were written by a five year old, and that is of what I can actually read. I'm afraid I will snap the thing in half, or permanently bend a page if I open it far at all. So it looks nice on the outside I guess.
As for the "top secret briefing packet" you can only open it once, despite the DLC coming in a resealable bag of the exact same style. I wish I hadn't opened it, because the content inside is useless. It's filler and not even good filler.
I will admit, the armor diagram is actually quite cool, though the pictures of random unrelated helmets on the side slightly ruin the over all effect. Once again though, this feels like game manual content that was fancied up to be "LE content".
So now onto the DLC. At least this comes in a resealable packet, why both did not I will never know. So we have the FOD card. Sweet stuff, except I can only watch it on Waypoint streaming..? That was the worst part about the Reach Legendary video. At least give us the curtsey of an HD download, seeing as it is already on Youtube. Then the DLC card. The War Games map pass, promising 9 maps. I am pretty irritated that many got the first three for free, yet I do not have the luxury. I guess they can make up for it with the 6 specializations! Oh right...And yes, they card says 6, implying they printed them back when only 6 were created, not having the decency to reprint them correctly. Even then, there is no longer anything exclusive about them. Then we have the avatar crap and the in game emblem and armor and such. We get a skin, yet the console gets FOTUS. Never before has the console gotten an exclusive, as it is always understood that anyone getting the LE and above most like HAS a console. So that's just great.
So there is the $60 for the unfinished game, the War Games pass, which with the free DLC now technically costs $5 to me, a stream of FOD (available on YouTube in better quality), "exclusives" with no real value, and then all the fancy fluff which altogether most likely cost $10 to make.
So I paid $100 for a nice box, a metal bound game manual, and some packets. Great.
