I'm not like the people at the Reach Forum, I swear. Also, I don't just play Halo: Reach anymore.

I made this account a couple weeks after getting Halo: Reach. I never ever played a halo game before, so I thought this would be a good username. I was wrong, so hoplessly wrong, and I wish I could change it. But I must push on...

FOR NARNIAAAAAAAAA!

So, as an overview, other-worldy beings find out about our existence. They come to our world. Of course, we have thought of there being 'aliens' before, but not like these beings. These beings are far superior in their technology, physical strength, mental state-of-mind, and knowledge.

These aliens are not here to harvest us, commit genocide on us, use us for slaves, destroy the planet, etc. They com to Earth more or less as an expansion to their territory.

I'm not going to go any more in-depth with this, but my basic question is...

Could us humans be domesicated by a far superior being, or are we already to complex to be domesticated?

If you have any questions, or need a further explantion, please ask.

Are we not already domesticated?

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Easily.

I'm going to go with "no". We're too complex and too mean.

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

Give me what I want, and ill do what you want.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

The disturbing part is that we could already be domesticated. We work for slips of colored paper that are in and of themselves useless. Less than a percent of the population of the industrialized world work at something survival based (ie food production, healthcare etc...)

We are already putting ourselves into positions of servitude. How hard would it be for another agency, say aliens or what not, to replace our upper class and keep us chasing a unrealizable dream?

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Of course they can. Men who are convinced to get a vasectomy by their wife become their personal -blam!- for life.

It is pretty sad, but then people like Justin Bieber come around and get outside of this loop and shake the world by the roots. He and other celebs used to be domesticated just like us, but they escaped by gaining popularity among us. Which is why I think everyone needs to try to become famous.

never say never

No, sentient beings can never be domesticated. Even if no knowledge of us being a non domesticated existed, in which case it would be much like the Geth in Mass Effect Universe. So no.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I would think partially, to that our descendants would work for them, but not entirely. Just like slaves, some of them would try to escape the only life they would have known by that point in time, for freedom. I think I worded this right.

I am a monument to all your sins

sure we could. Just raise the children to be obedient pets. It might not work on the adults, but if they get us when we're young, they could do whatever they wanted.

  • 12.10.2012 5:10 PM PDT

What a waste....

We've domesticated ourselves many times.
