I used to think that but, ME2 is worth playing through more, again and again. Nothing will ever beat that last 6 hours or so of Mass Effect when it picked up on Virmire and continuied right to the end... But you can only get that feeling once. Well, at least I did. The Reaper twist was like waaaaat

Knowing about the Reapers ahead of time kind of made the reveal substantially less of a twist, but I still thought Virmire was pretty amazing and Illos was pretty cool too.

I suppose, but I didn't really think things through a lot and I just assumed that you'd never see the Reapers because you'd stop Saren. To be honest Mass Effect was pretty freaking generic until that Reaper twist though, which is also what kind of makes it so unexpected. Without the Reapers ME wouldn't have been as thrilling as it was.

I didn't like the combat system in ME1. ME2 and 3 had much better combat.

The combat wasn't bad back when it released. Compare it to Me2 or 3 it looks really bad though.

It was the best but I enjoyed ME2 the most.

Release Date: November 20, 2007

Ummm... it isn't that old. MGS4 came out several months after it.

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

Mass Effect 1 is the best game in the trilogy. I also never understood the hate about the Mako sections. (Sure, if you died then it's going to get boring.) All you have to do is use your map and set waypoints on stuff, I realised that within one minute of using the Mako. Not to even mention that you don't really have to go to every single point on the map!

Current members of the Gnome Empire:
Fridge Gnome
Freezer Gnome
Blender Gnome
Oven Gnome
Da Chrome Gnome
Zomb1e Gnome

I feel like the games became less and less open.

ME1 had tons of little places to explore and different missions, ME2 had quite a few, and you never knew when you might find another planet with a mission on it.

But then ME3 had nothing but the primary story to do.

ME1 PC master race.
+ Enough buttons for your abilities and weapons
+ Solid 60fps HD resolution
+ Short elevator rides
+ Better Mako controls
+ Better squad management
+ Mouse aiming

I just finished it again last night and every minute of it was awesome. It was nice seeing Krogans being more than just a bigger target again. I really wish Bioware didn't throw out so much of ME1's gameplay and character building while making the rest of the trilogy.

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

ME1 was great, the only big issue I have with it is that Shepard (and by extension his squad) doesn't really have much middle ground between being pathetically weak and hilariously overpowered pretty much no matter what difficulty level you play on.
