So I got this idea a while back while trying to think of a way to play Xbox 360 games on the go. The idea I got involves me livestream audio and video from my Xbox 360 to my Android tablet. How exatcly can I set this up and do this?

Even if it were possible to do something like this via remote desktop, the input lag would make it unplayable.

At today's rates? As if. If OP's serious, he needs some good old-fashioned Medieval sorcery.

I am going to build one of those, but I also want something more light and portable.

Could i stream the video from my xbox to a website (like twitch.tv) and then view it from my android in good qualitly and little lag?

Well OP I hope you're not serious, but if you are, I'll do my best to inform you.

First things first. You've got to figure out some kind of program link-up from your Xbox to your computer. This program would have to do a variety of things. First, it would receive both the audio and video coming from your Xbox and it would then have to steam it to the internet. Second, it would have to be calibrated with your tablet to input an Xbox controller signal to your Xbox. If you were to use an Xbox controller on your tablet, your tablet would have to have a program that can take the controller signal and change it into computer code, send it over to the program on your computer, and then that program would have to convert the signal back into something that your Xbox would understand, and on and on.

Not to mention that there would be an input lag of approximately 1-2 seconds which would basically render it unplayable (this is assuming you're not using a cellular network).

So basically what I'm getting at is it's impossible without an intricate knowledge of computer, internet, and Xbox language.

youll need to build a device that will accept your android input as input to the Xbox. Unless its been built thats the only hurdle youll have to overcome.

Like a Wireless/bluetooth usb connected to the Xbox. Connect it to the PC and make a program that will run on both USB and PC that converts your input from your phone to the PC to the USB to the Xbox.

Program that gets Android Input -> PC -> USB -> Xbox.

1. For the streaming my Xbox will be hooked up to a Desktop PC by using a capture card. I will then livestream it to a website like twitch.tv. The stream will then be viewable from my android.

2. I'll be making 2 version of this, one for android and another for PC. For the android version I will simply be in my house and have an xbox controller in my hand.

gtg now, wil finish post later

Are you really that desperate to play XBox 360 while not sitting on your couch?

It's not that I'm despreate to to play Xbox while not on the couch, it's that I have fun trying to think of cool new ideas and then putting things together and making them work. I have a natural intrest for engineering things and creating.

PC Version: This will allow me to remotely control my Xbox 360 from anywhere using my laptop.

1. I will livestream my Xbox onto a website like twitch.tv and view said livestream on my Laptop.

2. I will control my Xbox 360 controller from my laptop. To do this I have done alot of brainstorming and research. I will be modifying an Xbox 360 controller along with a nice little piece Ben Heck as designed that will be of great use to me. There will be a program on my desktop PC (Which will also be livestreaming the Xbox) that will allow me to control the controller and configure buttons.

Using a remote desktop program (Like teamviewer) I will controll this program from my laptop.

And walla, a light and portable way to play Xbox 360 on the go.
