Subject: I'm Starting a Youtube Channel...

As the title indicates, I have created a Youtube channel and I would like to know if you have any tips about anything. From how to attract views and subscribers, to good software to record videos with.

Any tips/suggestions?

Save your time and energy for something else unless you are truly, truly passionate about it.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

1. Upload videos.
2. Wait.
3. ?????
4. PROFIT!!!

Spam The Flood with Videos.

I have just described what not to do.

Quote from Confucius

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Depends on what you want your channel to be.

Do you want to be a comedian and make life just that much more funnier or are you that gamer who post epic clips of awesome game play. Basically decide what you want your channel to be.

Attracting views is easy. Be good at what your videos are meant to be. For example if your channel is about comedy make the funniest video out there.

“Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the corps just blew up our raggedy ass fleet!” -Sgt. Johnson

Make videos about cats. Those are the best.

If you're going to record gaming session, do not use fraps. Use a real recorder that can render 1080p with no lag.

I wasn't planning on using FRAPS, which ones do you suggest?

I've heard of Bandicam and HyperCam, but I also heard they suck.

This question sounds stupid, but I also want to start a Youtube channel. What do you need to convert gameplay from an Xbox to a video on the computer, without physically recording the gameplay with a camera?

Ahh okay maybe you should invite a friend. If your including real time speech make sure you have the microphone above your mouth so the microphone doesn't pick up coughs or breathing

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

Make sure you have a plan and only release content you are happy with. And make multiple videos (for example five) and release each one in a weekly basis to give you enough time to make more.

Right now I'm looking into animation with flash, and I'm not half assing it either, I'm watching tutorials, practicing and will not be releasing anything until I'm entirely happy with it.

Then you will have a very hard time. Try to be really unique and funny. Let's plays get boring fast. So make them entertaining.

Edit: try to get new games and let's play them. My friend always bought new games and got partner after 2 months i think

Yeah, a ton of Let's Players out there, you'll most likely be swamped by the millions of others.

I still wish you the best of luck my friends.

Nah, I won't play the usual CoD/Minecraft/Slender stuff.

Mine are much more obscure, and not many people do LPs about.

Good, that's what gets you noticed. I saw a guy go from 20 views per video to 9,000 views per video by doing something nobody else played.
