Only problem is with your statement is that it is opinion. The day of purchase is certainly not the extent of time as similar to the horrible example you gave involving halo 2 many years ago. It's false advertisement and many season pass and Le buyers should feel ripped off and rightly so. You have done nothing to rebutt my intial statement yet.

Heres a rebuttle. In the hour that you have just spend complaining, you could have worked and re-compensated yourself the precious 10 dollars.
Sure about five years ago when I made 10 dollars an hour. I'm sorry that you tried to rebutt my statement by bringing up opinions not actual facts. It was a nice chat. And what you just said wasn't even a rebuttal but a grab for air. Intriguing.

All good.

Like I said with my first post. Its embarrassing that you are even upset.

Either sue them for 10 dollars, or just drop it. Its really not worth getting upset over.

Shouldn't we be happy that, at the core, more gamers got the map pack?

And like I said Im not upset. I just stated the facts, you didn't like that do you tried to make yourself feel important by spouting your opinions onto me. Based on the facts I have given I came up with a statement.

This is like complaining that Walmart is selling a TV for $500, but Best Buy is selling the same TV for $450.

Should have been smarted and joined us, or better yet, understood that the LE was a complete rip off from the get go.

Me? I have never payed for a map pack before in my life.

Sure and I'll be glad to be able to play them with my friends. Even if it was a glitch and not their problem I still got ripped off.

Only problem with this is the redundancy of having a dlc playlist instead of implementing the maps into matchmaking. I'm sure they knew how many have the pass since it was free anyways really. This will go down just like squad slayer and anniversary btb did.

The map pack is new, and people want to play with their new DLC right away. Once it gets old, it gets deleted.

Which is too bad because halo 3 did not have this problem.

Are you gonna sue them to try and get my map pack taken away?

Honestly I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little peeved about this. I bought the LE of Halo 4. The extended version of Forward Unto Dawn is now available for free on the internet (though I expected this) and the only thing that made it different from the regular version were some establishing shots that were taken out of the final cut (no deleted scenes or anything cool), access to specializations was given to just about everyone anyway, and the Prime armor wasn't all that different from default recruit. The only real upside to having bought the LE was that I technically got a discount on the map packs, but now I guess that's gone to. I mean I guess I still have my cool steelbook case...

To anyone saying we shouldn't be upset over this, why not? We payed for a product under the promise that we were receiving exclusive content and what would eventually amount to a discount on something I was going to buy anyway, and Microsoft/343i have one by one taken just about everything the limited edition offered and given it to everyone anyway. It's a shady business practice and borderline false advertising, so yeah, people are upset.

I'm not mad at the people who got it for free. Good on you if you were fast enough and I would've done the same in your position. I am however mad at Microsoft for essentially saying "Oh well, sucks to suck." and acting like it's ok and not a big deal.

The problem is majority who are saying get over it still probably live at home with mom and dad and don't have any sort of income they could live on.Might be a bit of a bias on my part though.

So let me get this straight

We take advantage of Microsoft's fault and get the Map pack for free

You guys don't and purchase the Map Pack either with an LE code or 800 mps

You guys want compensation

Well, that's too bad

Life isn't fair

You have every right to be mad at their poor business practicing but I think we should all understand that neither Microsoft nor 343 are going to do anything about it. The only 'resolution' to this is to stop giving them money. There is not going to be any 'compensation', or at least none that would cost them more money than they already lost.

I can assure you my combined income is over 80000 a year. Its not the money but the legality of the situation.

Just because some people exploited a glitch by Microsoft, doesn't mean you are entitled to a refund.

You payed and got what was expected.

Microsoft didn't go out and sell it for 800 MS points, and secretly go around giving free to people they liked better.
I bought the War Games Pass and I completely agree with this guy.
I can understand why some people would feel ripped off, even when they weren't, though.

I'd say that's worse than me overpaying for my crappy limited edition but depending on your tolerance for alcohol at least you might've gotten a nice buzz off of that.

Anyway my point is is that for the people who bought the LE, it's not about the $5 we technically got screwed for today. That event is just the metaphorical straw that broke the camels back in a long series of stunts by Microsoft/343 to that have slowly screwed over anyone who bought it. First it was the fact that the extended version of FUD was a joke, then they gave everyone the opportunity to get specializations early, and now this. If the LE had actually been worth the extra money like Bungie's LE's for previous Halo games, yeah there'd be a few nuts frothing at the mouth over $5-10 but most normal people would just blow it off as a mistake. But when something like this happens ON TOP of the -blam!- they've already pulled and then the offical support team straight up says, Get it while you can and No there won't be any compensation, people are going to be pissed and rightfully so.

And no I won't sue Microsoft over $10 but with this BS and the fact that 343 has ruined custom games and is refusing to acknowledge it (despite there being a 150 page thread about it on the Waypoint forums), I am seriously considering not buying Halo 5 or at least only renting it for the campaign. And it's a shame because from a multiplayer and campaign point of view, I like H4 10x better than Reach.
