I was linked to this image in a previous thread, and i noticed that the moon looks as though it has an atmosphere. I never read the books, and I was wondering if that is the case, or do my eyes decieve me. thanks.

last time I checked, the moon was kind of a barren waste land or such.

The moon doesnt have an atmosphere, but it does have a pull of gravity.

I am...whimsical today.

Effectively it has none. Where did it appear otherwise?

Perhaps my eyes decieve me, or perhaps the settings of my computer moniter are out of whack but it does look as though the moon has a blue atomosphere.

Hmm, when I saw it I thought it looked a little like an atmosphere. It's tough to make out.
It could either be another planet, or the 'clouds' and 'land' are just the surface of the Moon playing tricks.
In fact looking closer I can see the Seas of the Moon, so I think its just the perspective.

The UNSC has an OCS Training Facility on Luna. That would be the moon. While I don't know if it has a planet wide atmosphere, it deffinantly has habitable bubbles, or so I would imagine.
