Subject: A suicide-murder happened in my friend's house in the past

So apparently, my friend told me before his family brought the house. A father brutally murdered his son, cutting him into pieces, and then burning his already dead body. The father moments later commits suicide. The mother comes home to find the house is a bloody mess, in the basement specifically. They say the father had a mental breakdown, but really the motive still remains unknown. No wonder the house was so cheap when it came for sale.

At first I didn't believe it. I mean... who would actually? You see these kind of things on the news and think it will never happen to you. After, I googled and did some research of his story. I realized murder is everywhere.

So could you live in a house knowing a brutal murder happened in the comfort of your own home? I guess you can ignore it and live your life.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

I actually used to live in an apartment where a father shot himself in the face with a shotgun in the kitchen after he went to kill his divorced wife and son. The disgusting thing was that the apartment owners didn't clean it thoroughly. There was still dry blood on the shelves.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

This thread rustled my jimmies.

I love you

Scary. I couldn't live in a house like that.

Not really the same thing, but my friend has a house next to his that he claims is haunted. He says if you try moving the furniture, stuff will get thrown at you. I'm too chicken to try, so I'll never know if he's lying or not.

  • 12.10.2012 8:36 PM PDT

im a dumb, dont take me seriously prease.

Just don't look under the sink. When stuff like that happens all the force of those thoughts concentrate under the sink. You can look under it but just dont get in it when you're playing hide and seek or something.

  • 12.10.2012 8:36 PM PDT

That is terrible, but why would the house be cheap? It's just a house, the actions that took place within are not connected to it.

  • 12.10.2012 8:38 PM PDT

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

"A suicide-murder"?

So the guy killed himself, then killed the victim?

The previous owner of this house hung himself from the rafter in the very same room I'm typing this. Doesn't bother me in the least, though I am a little pissed I had to hear about it from the neighbors after I purchased it.

But I do have a buddy that refuses to walk in the same spot he died. He literally walks around the spot on his way to the door every time. Pretty funny.

What makes you not afraid of it? I know for a fact I wouldn't sleep in that room.

Do you believe in the supernatural?

I believe that fact is often stranger than fiction. That being said, until I personally encounter something that changes my mind, I see no reason to fret over possibilities and "what if's". I've been in this house for ten years now. If there's some boogie man hiding in the closet, he's sure taking his sweet ass time making his move.

They often don't come for you. You often only see them by accident. They watch you, when you fap in the shower, while you watch t.v in your room. They look at you, stare you right in the eye face to face. They love that you will never see them, and they don't try to make themselves known. It's up to you to look really, really hard, late at night is the best time..sometimes when they fall asleep standing up you can see them.

It wouldn't bother me I have lived in plenty of houses over the years I didn't know the history of all of them so it doesn't really matter to me. As long as the house doesn't have any structural issues and isn't ancient I don't care who lived it before me.

I get what you're saying. I wouldn't say I'm a believer, but I also wouldn't say I'm not a believer. I've had weird things happen before; Some can be explained, some can't. For example, whenever I close my eyes and lay in bed at night, I begin to feel a presense in the room. You know how if people get close to you, you can almost "feel" them? It's like that.

Nothing like that has ever happened in your house?

BTW I'm not crazy guys! Haha.

"Life is constantly fleeting from your grasp even from the very day it's bestowed upon you, but the shadow of death is always there, waiting for its chance to take you away."

"Even though many may not think so, ignorance and innocence are one and the same. The only difference is that one sounds nicer."

"I once knew a man who spent his entire life contemplating where we go after our death....it's a shame he realized it a second too late to tell anyone."

*starts hearing the sounds of the murder scene coming from the basement one night*

"Shut the f**k up, ghosts! I'm trying to sleep!"

Nah. The strangest thing to happen in this house was having a small toy soldier fall on my head from a flat, fully dry-walled ceiling one day when I was home alone. Not exactly a close encounter. And certainly not evidence of the unknown, but sure.. a bit strange.

It worked for the people in American Horror Story.

Sure they all died and are ghosts, but now they get to stay in the house.

Shakes Magic 8 Ball

The mob buried people under my friend's house while it was under construction. Things were different back then.

Hmm, well I guess it's just me. Like I said, I'm not a believer, but I'm also not a non believer.

In the end, it's probably my mind messing with me. I fear the supernatural, and the stuff that "happens" in my house could very well be my fear getting to me. Who knows?

I give you 2 thumbs up though. I don't think many people could handle sleeping where someone passed on. Good talk, Dr.!
