Subject: 343i Got Epsilon Indi wrong

So we all know the Crimson Map Pack released today. (Not good BTW)

343i got the star, Epsilon Indi, wrong. (Harvest) The star is supposed to be brownish, but it looks identical to Sol. (The sun) This bugs me.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

Yeah man, it bugs me too.

No u

I'm a huge Halo fan, and that doesn't bother me whatsoever.

How often you stare at the sky while youre strafin' and gandhi hoppin' trying to avoid having your butt shredded?

Doesnt seem like it matters to much.

Do you not realize the importance here? We can't let them do this! It's just another thing to ruin this game!

OP brings up a valid point about 343i not being as faithful to the lore as they should be, And all you retards can say is who cares.

No intelligent people would. This is a real star we're talking about. They miscolored it. It would be like coloring the Sun blue. It just wouldn't be right.

Unto the Fray we go

Solar glare. all but dying stars have a white massive glarecwhen viewed from their habitable zones, no matter what color the star actually is.

Stars look different depending on what planet you're viewing it from due to the gases in your atmosphere.

Do you have any sort of scientific evidence to back this claim?

Burden of proofs on you buddy.

The only time the colour of a star appears to change is when veiwed from extremely far away (would look more red) or if the atmospheric density were too much.

Why do people think that game devs should completely adhere to canon from books?

Why shouldnt they?

Changing the colour of the sun doesnt affect gameplay in anyway, it just makes the game more true to canon. Its these little details that make fans appreciate a game that much more.

Because 343 said they would.

The part where you said that all stars have a massive white glare when viewed from their habitable zones (or space, really)? Because that's all that proves, thus proving that a star's appearance changes in more ways than just the doppler effect.

More importantly though, complaining about the color of a star in a game world is like complaining that a certain species of tree isn't indegeneous to the environment it's depicted in. Trivial, technical bull-blam!- that no one but the most butt-hurt fanboys would even think to complain about.

And this is coming from a walking Halo encyclopedia.

Cause you take a look at the sun during a match.

From space, I said, not specific to the habitable zone.

But again, the point that this is even percieved as an issue to begin with. Further proof that the Flood will piss and moan about everything: this thread.

^^You're nitpicking and blowing a non-factor way out of proportion, that is being a butthurt fanboy by definition. If this was story related, I'd agree, but I somehow doubt the story writers care about the coloration of a particular star.
