The Mantis is child's play compared to the others, but I don't think the Silverback stands much of a chance either.

The Pinger would topple that Atlas, and then it would come down to probably the Prototype against the Pinger.

That's where it becomes close, almost too close. I can't really say.

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

Any "Atlas" other than this Atlas is invalid.

All of those "mechs" suck btw.

I threw it in there because it stands a chance in dense urban fighting where the other mechs are too big to maneuver inside the surrounding buildings, while the Silverback can.

Also note that it's weapon setup is modular. They just strapped a Mulcher and a Mortar and that's used as a default for all game purposes. It can also boast dual One Shots and any combination involving all three weapons.

The Prototyepe can fly, has shields, and is bristling with rockets and guns.

The Prototype wins.

Silverback is tiny compared to the others. It is more like powered armor rather than an actual mech. Also, not even sure the Silverback has shields does it?

Haven't played Crysis so I can't comment on the Pinger.

So, what we have left are the Atlas and Mantis. I'm going to have to go with the Atlas to be honest. More durable and faster regenerating shields, ability to grab infantry trying to get too close for an instant kill, a main gun that can devastate infantry, and a large enough frame that it can shield allies behind it. Atlases now use incendiary rockets that burn their opponents, keeping shields from regenerating for longer and potentially finishing wounded enemies. Atlases are very likely not as useful against aircraft compared to the Mantis's missile pod, but for the most part the role of a Mech is to support infantry in ground warfare, at least in my eyes.

OP edited in the Prototype- Still probably going with the Atlas. That's still more like power armor rather than an actual Mech. It looks like it has a lot of firepower but not much in the way of actual defense. It also seemed to be lacking in ammunition - a mech should be able to operate away from supply lines for a prolonged period of time if need be. The jet pack also faces the same issue of running out of fuel if away from supply lines. I feel you'd be better off investing in a jet compared to the Prototype, since a jet can burn through its ammo and get quickly resupplied. That's what its role would seem to be anyways if it were brought through develop, and very likely why it was left on the development table rather then seeing continued development compared to the Mantis.

The Pinger would silence the Silverback and Mantis with ease, considering just how bulky and slow it is. The Silverback is killed before the Mantis, and then the Prototype and Pinger take each other one.

Prototype runs on a nuclear fusion reactor, it will never run out of fuel.

Armaments (according to Halopedia): 1) 850-round Lucifer minigun

2) LAU SGM heat seeking missile launcher

3) M149, 105mm explosive recoiless rifle (area of effect: 5 meters). 50 rounds.

4) Three Type-18 claymore anti tank bombs.

5) 300 megaton nuclear self-destruct bomb. Even if the Prototype loses, so do you.

Also includes a bubble shield that activates automatically whenever the suit's under fire, increases strength and speed of user, and can fly.

I doubt the Atlas or any of these would fair very well. They certaintly didn't against some Infantry.

Energy and fuel are completely different. Systems could stay on indefinitely, but you need actual fuel to work thruster packs, at least from my understanding of Halo physics. There aren't Mass Effect fields to negate a large portion of the weight so you need to burn thrusters just like in reality.

It's propulsion systems run off of the fusion power source, from what I can gather. In any case, they make no mention of the jetpack having a seperate fuel source so from what we know, it must be the reactor.

I also realized that the AT bombs are attatched to each thigh, making 6 of these things. Just one of these could engulf a Wraith. The Lucifer cannon also drilled through a Phantom in seconds. The other mechs wouldn't be able to stand up to that kind of maneuverability, firepower and protection, even if the jetpack had fuel limits. Plus, if it starts losing, the Prototype will just nuke everyone, forcing a tie.
