"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

The Thief games are the father of the stealth genre, great gameplay, graphics(For its time obviously) atmosphere and lore/story. It had three games (Thief Gold and Thief 2 has gotten recent patches so they're very easy to run, so try them) and has been out of the picture for a while unti now.
I had recently beaten the first game, which I started about 6 months ago(quite distracted, the game was quite lengthy too) and will be started the second soon and hopfully the third if not too many games come out.
My only issue is it's been so long since the last one (2003 i think) there's a generation gap with it, I fear younger players won't bother as they haven't played the first 3 or think its ripping off Assassins Creed (Garrett > Ezio btw :p), so i think some arcade versions ofthese first 3 games should be made to make more interest in the franchise, for Thief 4 to be successful. (and so story is more coherent so new players dont get a small chunk of it).
It's being dev'd by Eidos Montreal, with their successful Dues Ex Revolution which had great stealth (so ive heard) i think theyre a great choice to develope this one.
