Skyrim's "threat" just didn't feel like a threat.

Meh. I had fun times with Oblivion, and I have had fun times with Skyrim. Neither one really jumps out at me as the better game. I like them equally.

Not even close.

IMHO, Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion

They are all great games, however

Oblivion has terrible controls.

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

No. Skyrim is miles better.

  • 12.11.2012 9:40 AM PDT

Well excuse me for not finding Alduin threatening at the end. :\

Compared to an Invasion that could of very well gone out of the Champion's hands.

  • 12.11.2012 9:40 AM PDT

I prefer Oblivion. Skyrim just didn't do it for me. I could play Oblivion days at a time, and Skyrim I can only manage a few hours.

Inappropriate. Went a little to far with the butt hole tearing.

Minus the god damn oblivion gates, sure.

Kinda, Oblivion wasn't as dumbed down for casuals as skyrim though, jesus, I had to install 40+ gameplay changing mods to make that game any good.

  • 12.11.2012 9:44 AM PDT

No that's just your nostalgia talking.

  • 12.11.2012 9:44 AM PDT

I thought Oblivion had some better quests, but I thought Skyirm did every thing else better.

Well when I played Oblivion, it was the first game I have ever played with so much freedom. It was amazing.

After being exposed to that game and so many other free roam rpg/adventure games, Skyrim didn't feel so great.

I feel if Skyrim was my first Elder Scrolls game, I would be much more amazed by it. And I know that Skyrim's hype brought a lot of new players and many praise that game as if it's the best one even though it's the only ES game they every played.

Don't LOL if you aren't L'inOL.

Halo: Reach
Halo 3
Halo ODST

I never played Oblivion but Skyrim was amazing.

Same here!

On the contrary..Oblivion just had better content to me, sure Skyrim had better gameplay mechanics..But Skyrim just feels so..Empty.

Though unintentional content... The MACE OF DOOM area was amazingly entertaining, especially that NPC that is there.

I've played Oblivion before I've played Skyrim, and I can honestly say, I didn't find the plot of Oblivion interesting, and well I found the whole plot regarding the returns of the Dragons to be rather interesting, then again I read the in-game books regarding it and such, it's really interesting.
Also, I can't stand Oblivion's models, they're far worse then Fallout 3/NV and well look like puppets.

Skyrim:
Better Gameplay
Better Graphics
Better Quests
Better Dungeons

Oblivion:
Better Story
Better Sheogorath
Better Landscape/ Area

Both great music. In my opinion.

In terms of questing? Yes

In terms of exploration and world? No way.
