I don't care about either but alcool needs to go. I am a huge anti alcoholer.
You must be fun a parties.
I went to some parties. Got offered alcohol loads of times. Cola is just fine for me. You don't really need to get drunk do you?
Do I *need* to get drunk? No. I've been the DD plenty of times and still had a good time with my friends. Is it more fun with booze? Absolutely.

It's taboo to smoke something healthy and good for you but it's perfectly normal and fine to smoke something that kills millions and even people that don't smoke?
Smoking anything is bad for you. Humans aren't designed to inhale smoke. Doesn't matter if it's tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke, or a brush fire.

It's not a party unless you are wasted but I wouldn't know
Well not for me it isn't. I think seeing all the Facebook posts from my friends saying they have no money because they spent it all on alcohol put me off. That and it was apparently cool to drink it in School

It's legal in my state.

However, there are ways of minimizing the smoke, or even circumventing smoking at all, when it comes to Marijuana. (ex: bongs, vapes, edibles, tinctures, etc)

When I was working in Nevada all the kids did was drink. You could set your clock by how many drinking parties they had. And when there were wasted they would topple over which I found to be very funny

Because my neighbor did 10 weeds and OD'd.

OT I couldn't say. It's generally looked down on but I don't know why.

You can never OD on weed, lol.

Because reason and logic doesn't appear to determine what is legal, only corporate interests.

It's lunacy, considering the hundreds of thousands that die of tobacco or alcohol every year . . . compared to the zero people that die from marijuana every year.

Wouldn't say that in such a confident matter. In fact, if I recall correctly, recently, a teenager around here was responsible for a fatal automobile crash- she was under the influence of marijuana.

May not have immediate effects, but why enforce recreational use of another drug? I'd prefer to cull all drug usage, in general.

It may not be as bad as alcohol or tobacco, but it's another drug, and it has been indirectly responsible for deaths.

Oh, I'm well aware. I'm a big marijuana supporter. It just bugs me when people say smoking weed is good for you.

Because there was a time when no one knew much about it but a lot of influential people were afraid of it. In the late 50s/early 60s, the government even tried to weaponize THC. They actually succeeded eventually, but only at concentrations far greater than you'd normally encounter.

So basically, lack of knowledge and fear.

I'm curious why is everyone so desperate to get high?

  • 12.11.2012 11:19 AM PDT

If they legalize weed then won't users of other drugs like coke, meth want those to be legalized too?

Yes. Only to deal with the shame for sleeping with a 6/10

How do you desribe a high feeling? I've never done drugs but I was pretty out of it when I woke up from surgery so I'm wondering if it's the same thing.

They do already. More dangerous drugs just don't get the time of day on legalization because they're dangerous.

I get a kick out of anyone siting these things regarding decision making when talking about introducing another sobriety issue.
