Because reason and logic doesn't appear to determine what is legal, only corporate interests.
It's lunacy, considering the hundreds of thousands that die of tobacco or alcohol every year . . . compared to the zero people that die from marijuana every year.
Wouldn't say that in such a confident matter. In fact, if I recall correctly, recently, a teenager around here was responsible for a fatal automobile crash- she was under the influence of marijuana.
May not have immediate effects, but why enforce recreational use of another drug? I'd prefer to cull all drug usage, in general.
It may not be as bad as alcohol or tobacco, but it's another drug, and it has been indirectly responsible for deaths.
Truly, one could attribute all drugs, be it tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, caffeine, sugar, to indirectly causing deaths. All mind-altering substances, legal or illegal, can cause people (usually with pre-existing dispositions) to do things they may not usually do.
My point is that the health affects ALONE kill hundreds of thousands of tobacco and alcohol users a year, whereas no one has died directly due to marijuana.
